Get your kids moving😊

The most powerful tool for protecting your child’s mental health is not therapy or limiting screens. It is a movement, especially around the age of 11.

A seven-year study tracking over 17,000 children found that kids who moved more at age 11 were far less likely to struggle with anxiety, depression, or emotional instability by age 18. Movement doesn’t just build muscle. It builds protection.

At 11, the brain is under construction. The prefrontal cortex, amygdala, and reward pathways are rewiring. Hormones surge, social pressure rises, and the brain becomes more sensitive to stress. Movement helps by releasing BDNF, a protein that strengthens neural connections and boosts emotional resilience. It also lowers cortisol, raises dopamine and serotonin, and trains the nervous system to recover faster from stress.

Simple activities like biking with friends, climbing trees, or dancing in the kitchen count. Movement should feel like freedom, not performance. For girls, consistent activity builds self-worth and confidence before puberty challenges arise.

Encouraging movement at this age wires mental strength, emotional control, and resilience for the years ahead. Your child isn’t just playing; they are building a healthier brain and a stronger mind.

Happy Birthday Eric Carle 🕊️

Today, we’re remembering one of Blair’s favorite authors—the amazing Eric Carle! His stories, like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, have brought so much color, joy, and imagination to kids all over the world. 🌈📚🐛

Through his simple words and beautiful pictures, he made reading feel like magic.

Thank you, Mr. Carle, for the stories that still make little hearts happy and curious.

We’re thinking of you today, with love and hungry caterpillars. 🍎🦋

Thinking about enrolling your child in sports?

Ages 3 to 10 is the golden window and here’s why.

Sports aren’t just about winning games.
They teach life—teamwork, discipline, confidence, and resilience.

Between ages 3 to 10, kids are like sponges. It’s the perfect time to:

• Develop gross motor skills
• Learn to follow instructions
• Build friendships
• Practice handling wins and losses
• Strengthen emotional regulation

And let’s not forget the joy.
The glow after a game. The giggles at practice. The feeling of being part of something.

Whether it’s soccer, swimming, martial arts, or dance
Let them try. Let them move. Let them shine.

Save this as a reminder that play is powerful and childhood is the perfect training ground for life skills.🤗

12 BEST INHERITANCE YOU CAN GIVE TO YOUR CHILDREN

1. WISDOM
Wisdom is not graded in schools, wisdom is acquired through life experiences. The best people to teach wisdom are the parents. Mentor your children, share with them your experiences, don't allow them to learn tough lessons through trial and error yet you can impart in them awareness that will make them wiser and go further than you

2. SOCIAL SKILLS
This is one of the most important inheritance you can give them because life is about relationships. Teach your children how to handle self, how to handle sisterhood and brotherhood, how to handle the opposite gender, how to choose the right company, how to make friends and keep friends, how to interact and socialize, how to communicate. This will help your children as they leave your nest

3. HEALTHY VIEW OF FAMILY
If you damage your children's view of marriage you might damage them for life. As a couple, model to them what a healthy couple looks like; the experiences at home shape the children's romantic decisions. If you are a single parent, perhaps divorced or widowed; still speak honourably about marriage and family. Let your children know your experience doesn't have to be their experience

4. GOOD MEMORIES
Childhood memories are what torment adults or keep adults going. Give your children moments they will treasure even after you are gone. Let your children testify, "There are good people in this world and they came in the form of my parents"

5. SOUND MENTAL HEALTH
The worst thing you can leave to your children is trauma. A lot of children receive trauma from their parents through insults, abuse, neglect, comparison and rejection. Leave your children sound mental health by caring, loving and covering them

6. A GOOD NAME
Leave your children a reputation that they will admire, be great to the point your children will feel proud to be associated by you, to carry your name and to name their children after you

7. AN IDENTITY
You have the keys to your children's identity. It is up to you to teach them about their family tree, who are their great grandparents, grandparents, uncles and aunties, cousins, how did you two meet as a couple? so that the children can continue the family lineage

8. FINANCIAL WEALTH
Your children will need money to build their own life; leave them assets, money, shares in companies or even a family business to run. In addition, teach them wealth management. Don't let them struggle yet it was you who brought them into this world

9. A LEGACY OF FAITH
Leave your children with the knowledge of God, pray with them so that they build a prayerful lifestyle that they will help them through life when you are not around. Teach them that as a parent you have your limits but God is their everything

10. CONFIDENCE
Give your children the belief in self, let them leave your hands with a better understanding of their purpose, with an awareness of their greatness. Teach them to silence bullies and to push on when it gets tough

11. VALUES AND TRADITION
Transfer to your children good values and traditions to uphold, such as integrity, hard work, honesty, eating together as a family, unity; so that they continue this on their own

12. A SUPPORT SYSTEM
Introduce your children to mentors, spiritual leaders, family friends, books, teachers, communities, h social clubs that will enrich your children's lives; you can only do so much as a parent, some blessings will come in the other people and platform.

Remember; We are all the product of the previous generation, if we are a responsible person so our parents are responsible too. These will be the best tips to best our next generation a healthy and respectful generator. God bless us all.

Just Keep Swimming 🏊🏼‍♀️

My daughter raced in her first ever swim meet. She was the girl who stopped midway to fix her goggles, the one who was a full length of a pool behind the other swimmers.

My daughter was the one that the crowd cheered for, not for winning a race, but because she was the last one in the pool.

As the meet wrapped up, I eagerly looked for her, wondering if this new hobby would be short lived. My daughter spotted me in the stands and raced over, her smile stretching from ear to ear.

“Mom!! This is fun! I think I came in last place in all of my races,” my child exclaimed. “But that doesn’t matter!”

Right then and there, my eyes filled with tears, and my heart filled with pride.

My child may not come in first place or even take home a ribbon.
My daughter may be average, at best, in any sport she tries.
But all that doesn’t matter.
She’s having fun.
And that’s what is most important.

Sports and extra-curricular activities have become so competitive; many kids are “all in” by the time they reach elementary school. Maybe it’s a true love for the sport, or maybe it’s the parents pushing their child to be the best.

There’s nothing wrong with that.
But, it doesn’t have to be that way.

For many of us parents, our children are never going to be “the best”. We just want our children to find something they love.

My daughter will most likely never make the gymnastics team, but she still loves to take lessons. And she may not receive a swim medal, but that doesn’t stop her from jumping in the pool several times a week.

As I watched my daughter skip off to her teammates at the swim meet, I smiled and felt a huge sense of relief. I was so worried that she might be embarrassed or sad that she came in last place.

But it turns out, she couldn’t care less.

My daughter found an activity that makes her heart happy, and that’s the best prize any parent could ask for.

HATID-SUNDO 💗

Enjoyin mo muna.

Yung star sa kamay na agad ipapakita sayo at walang katapusang kwento habang pauwi kayo. Enjoyin mo muna.

Enjoyin muna natin mga mamsh.

Nakakapagod man, darating ang araw babalikan natin ito, bilang alalala. Kapag namimiss mo siya.💗💕
