Kai Alcala took on the MURF Electric Bikes Noosa Pro Junior this weekend, a WSL Junior Series event in Noosa, Australia.

Two solid scores on the board. Not the result we wanted, but proud of him for getting out there and giving it everything.

Before his first WSL win, Taybo Calvo was on a bus that collided with a truck on his way back from Samar. He wasn't hurt. Neither was the board he'd spent two weeks shaping for the competition ahead.

A few weeks later, in South Korea, he won his first WSL title, in an all-Filipino final alongside Jomarie Ebueza, Crisanto Villanueva, and Jay-R Esquivel.
