🔥❤️ RED PHOENIX IS BURNING AND BLAZING AS THE 3RD RUNNER-UP. ❤️🔥
Wala man koy picture during the awarding and declaration of winners this afternoon because I had to go back to Jagna to settle something that has been bothering me for two weeks now—something very stressful and personal. But even though I was not there, I still want to congratulate my team.
Honestly, I was expecting to meet last year’s position—a First Runner-Up with Blue Water—and I was hoping that this year, we could have a back-to-back crown, or at least a crown, especially since I am holding the Pageant Committee.
But God redirected me.
He did not give me a crown. Instead, He allowed me to break walls and boundaries and break the stereotype that I always have to be the one deciding everything.
Maurelle and Sajol gave me the opportunity to know them and understand the beauty of the “mga kaganapan backstage and beyond the crown.”
This year taught me to believe in my gut and let there be collaboration.
Usually, I decide what and where in almost all aspects—from choices of clothes, to sport choices, and even answering the Q&A. But this year taught me that no man is an island, and it takes two to tango.
It was collaboration and celebration.
And that is my biggest take-away from this learning.
On the other hand, it was also my first time teaming up with Ma’am Rhe and first time pud ni Ma’am Ai P. as team advisers for the SNA Intramural Meet.
And this made me gain more confidence and courage to speak out with my own voice and share my personal problems, aside from my Ma’am Darz, who is my confidante in school.
The three-day event made me do my best and fix my personal struggles through their encouraging words. Maski dili vocal, I felt their concern for me.
They let me find solutions, and they managed our team in my absence.
This is the true meaning of Intramural Meet—camaraderie.
And this is my winning piece.
This is a win for me—not because I gained medals and achievements, but because I gained people.
Gaining people more than medals and achievements.
Did I have a multo moment?
No.
I have already been at the bottom in the previous years, so wala na’y ikaka-rock bottom pa. I was already used to it.
My team may not be in its strongest form, but we still have chances to rise—just like the Phoenix.
And I just want to thank God for making me feel the red heart and the intense red throughout my journey.
