TG What’s Cooking 🎶🥘
My youngest has been coughing and sneezing the past few days, and even with tired hands from fixing gears, I found myself back where I also feel at home… the TG kitchen.
She has always loved bold flavors… Indian, Korean, Japanese… maybe because she grew up in Japan. So last night, I started quietly. Marinated the chicken in yogurt and spices, let it sit through the night. This morning, I worked on the base sauce, kneaded dough, and cooked everything from scratch.
When the aroma filled the space, I heard her before I saw her, small footsteps, then a shout, then clapping from the kitchen door.
For some, it’s just a simple dish.
For me, it was hours of preparation, a first attempt, and a quiet hope that she would smile.
Butter Chicken Curry and Garlic Butter Naan.
She took a bite, paused, then said it out loud…
“Taste like happiness!.”
That was enough. More than enough.
