A heartfelt story of compassion is touching many online after a grieving son, known as “Kid From Iraga,” shared an unexpected moment of kindness following the passing of his mother on May 1, 2026.

According to his post, he returned to the hospital to settle a total bill amounting to ₱141,145.18. While carefully reviewing the breakdown of charges, he noticed something unusual—his mother’s oncologist had a professional fee listed at only ₱1.00.

Thinking it was a clerical error, he approached the billing section for clarification. However, staff confirmed that the amount was intentional, indicating that the doctor had chosen to waive his professional fee.

The gesture deeply moved the grieving son, who recalled years of care, compassion, and guidance provided by the oncologist throughout his mother’s illness. He described the doctor as someone who brought not only medical support but also comfort and peace during some of the family’s most difficult moments.

The story also acknowledged the help of a family friend who assisted them in navigating medical decisions over the years.

JUST IN | Centro Enrile, Lubog sa Baha Dahil sa Walang Tigil na Pag-ulan.

Patuloy na nakararanas ng matinding pagbaha ang Centro Enrile matapos ang halos magdamagang walang tigil na pag-ulan na dulot ng pinaigting na habagat at nararanasang sama ng panahon. Umabot na sa hanggang tuhod hanggang baywang ang tubig sa ilang pangunahing kalsada, dahilan upang mahirapan ang mga residente na makalabas ng kanilang mga tahanan.

Ayon sa lokal na pamahalaan, ilan sa mga barangay sa Centro Enrile ang nakapagtala ng mabilis na pagtaas ng tubig dahil sa pag-apaw ng mga kanal at mabagal na pag-agos ng tubig patungo sa mga ilog. Nagsimula na ring mag-ikot ang mga rescue team upang tumulong sa mga pamilyang nangangailangan ng agarang paglikas, lalo na sa mga lugar na itinuturing na high-risk.

Samantala, nagpaalala ang MDRRMO sa mga residente na manatiling alerto, iwasan ang paglalakad sa baha, at agad na lumikas kung kinakailangan. Patuloy ring pinapayuhan ang publiko na mag-monitor ng mga anunsyo mula sa mga awtoridad dahil inaasahan pang magpapatuloy ang pag-ulan sa mga susunod na oras.

Sa ngayon, patuloy na sinusubaybayan ng mga opisyal ang sitwasyon upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng lahat ng residente sa Centro Enrile.
