Miss Universe Philippines Laguna, Eloisa Jauod, dons an avant-garde masterpiece by designer Jomar Peralta a triumph of fabric manipulation and artistic vision. Layers of intricately structured textiles form bold, abstract patterns, symbolizing the ever-evolving spirit of the Filipina: one who nurtures, leads, and transforms.

Her ensemble’s earth-toned palette, accented with crystals, reflects the wisdom, femininity, and quiet strength of the women of Laguna. Each element weaves a deeper message, that beauty is not merely to be admired, but to be understood, honored, and celebrated.

Emerging from a hand-carved bamboo prop crafted by the master artisans of Paete, Laguna a town famed for its generational craftsmanship Maganda comes to life. The bamboo, once split to reveal both Maganda and Malakas, becomes a powerful metaphor for the enduring strength of women and men who rise despite adversity. Like bamboo that bends but never breaks, the Filipina flourishes with unyielding grace amidst life’s fiercest storms.

More than a legend, Maganda is the heartbeat of every Filipina, the mother who sacrifices, the leader who empowers, the young girl who dreams. Her costume is not merely attire; it is a visual narrative of a beloved Filipino folk tale, that the beauty of the world began with a woman and continues to thrive because of her.
