Our first ever debut at Paris Fashion Week and it still doesn’t feel real. It feels like we’re still planning and still anticipating. Several months of creative ideas, long nights at the factory, last-minute changes because inspiration struck in the middle of the night and there was always my team of dedicated artisans who helped me make what you see before you.

Each piece is a labor of imagination that remains heavily rooted in the art of Hala pottery. This was my debut many years back at PFDC so it felt right to bring it to the city of Paris.

Amidst the craziness that faithfully comes with Paris Fashion Week, there was Sadaf Malaterre whose quickness and efficiency was one of my most valuable assets during this entire process. There was Schehrezade Rahim, my publicist, who was there to not only breathe calm into every situation by reminding me that I’ve got this but was also someone who made sure the job was done in more ways than one. Though he wasn’t there, his music certainly was. The amazingly talented Shahi Hasan of Vital Signs who produced and made the official music for my show. And lastly, the fantastic team of Moda Productions headed by Tracy Murray made sure everything was seamlessly executed and made sure no time was spared as every question came with an answer within a matter of minutes and every need was met with an amenity without having to mention it again.

While this team remained with me on-ground, there were the people back home who I felt were with me every step of the way. My dedicated team at Zainab Chottani. My friends and supporters. Every client who chose us. Every supporter who stayed loyal. Every token of love given.

To the city of Paris, I thank you for your love. I can’t wait to be back again!
