Recycling of Textile Cast Offs into Art Apparel...
This was the theme I worked on when I was in the final year of my 4 year Textile Design Degree Program in National College of arts.
The concept was based on the systems theory. “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”
When it is A whole piece of fabric there is value and utility for it, as soon as it is cut to shape a garment; the small rags and pieces that are detached from the main fabric become useless.
I united the fragments again and made them into a greater value added unit and gave it a meaning.

It was my message to the world through UNESCO that if we unite together we would have a greater value as a united world rather than scattered here and there into useless pieces.

“ UNITED WORLD FOR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS “

My dearest friend Kanwal Sayed helped me draw the fashion illustration, as at that time I was a textile design student and was not aware of fashion illustration.

Later at Savannah College of Art and Design I did a course of fashion illustration with famous fashion illustrator Ben Morris.

4th July 1995.
