Last year, while going through my grandmother’s trunk, I found some of her fondly treasured vintage dresses. These included her wedding gharara, hand stitched by her mother herself, some beautiful hand embroidered kurtas and dupattas.
Inspired by this trove, I decided to recreate some of the classic motifs and floral vines on grandma’s old clothes.
This winter, I decided to create pieces that are very close to my heart since they are inspired by motifs inspired by my grandmother’s clothes.
