Showcasing Polish artistic craftsmanship and bringing it onto the global stage. Part of the Starak Family Foundation.

The gallery, established by the Starak Family Foundation in 2024, is located at the heart of Warsaw, along the historical Royal Route. The place serves as a platform giving exposure to Polish artistic craftsmanship on the global design scene – by connecting artisans, designers and collectors. It offers a fresh perspective on collecting contemporary Polish art and design, redefining what it means to be a thoughtful and discerning collector. Założona w 2024 roku przez Fundację Rodziny Staraków, galeria mieści się w zabytkowej części Warszawy, przy historycznym Trakcie Królewskim. Jej misją jest promowanie wartości polskiego wzornictwa i rzemiosła na arenie międzynarodowej. Craftica dąży do budowania rozpoznawalności polskiej sztuki użytkowej, podkreślając jej unikalny charakter oraz silne powiązania z narodowym dziedzictwem kulturowym.

Unveiling Korallions by Cyryl Zakrzewski.

Discover the works of Polish artist and designer Cyryl Zakrzewski, presented as part of Design at Large at Design Miami

Crafted from layers of birch plywood and bronze, the Korallion benches are making their debut in the courtyard of L’Hôtel de Maisons. Sculptural yet functional, each piece is made entirely by the artist, from start to finish. Their ergonomic forms invite you to sit and experience them, while their unique design and protective oiled finish make them suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings.

We’re pleased to announce Korallion I & Korallion II, two new modular sculptural benches by Cyryl Zakrzewski, are presented by Craftica Gallery at Design Miami.Paris 2026 as part of the Design at Large section. Inspired by coral reefs, the works can be placed indoor and outdoor. Crafted from layered birch plywood, the two structures extend the artist’s ongoing exploration of the boundaries between collectible design and sculpture, translating the logic of natural growth into functional forms that can be arranged in multiple configurations.

Created specifically for the fair in response to the garden of L’Hôtel de Maisons, Korallions engage with light, weather, and time, allowing the material to evolve alongside its surroundings. Rather than resisting the elements, the works are conceived to weather with them, becoming part of the landscape they inhabit.

Why furniture, rather than sculpture?

For Cyryl Zakrzewski, the answer began at home.
Sculptures require space – something not every home can offer. Working primarily with birch plywood, Cyryl began looking for another way to bring his sculptural ideas into everyday life. Furniture became the answer. He turned to objects that could occupy a space, serve a purpose, and still function as sculpture.

Through combining in his practice the very sculptural style with utilitarian values, Zakrzewski brought in the sculptural presence into his home and everyday life.

Follow the series as we count down to Craftica Gallery’s debut at Design Miami.Paris, Design at Large section.

Next week, Craftica Gallery will make its debut at Design Miami.Paris, [ Design Miami ] presenting a solo presentation by Polish artist and designer Cyryl Zakrzewski as part of Design at Large.

Created specifically for the occasion, Korallion I & Korallion II are two new modular sculptural benches that translate the logic of natural growth into sculptural form. Crafted from birch plywood, the works respond to the garden of L’Hôtel de Maisons, engaging with light, weather and time.

As one of the first Polish galleries to participate in Design Miami.Paris, this occasion marks a special milestone for Craftica - and an opportunity to bring a distinctive perspective on Polish collectible design to an international audience.

A question about relief became a question about light.

For , the idea for her lamps began with the search for a way to keep a relief continuously visible. The answer was to make light part of the work itself — a constant co-creator that reveals, shifts and transforms the surface. Rooted in her architectural training, Sonia’s practice embraces experimentation, unexpected solutions and the element of chance.

In her studio, she shares the thinking behind her sculptural approach to light.

This October, we are delighted to present his work at Abu Dhabi, where Sonia’s lamps are part of the gallery’s exhibition programme. It marks Craftica Gallery’s first presentation at NOMAD Abu Dhabi.

Od pytania o relief do pytania o światło.

Dla Sonii Dubois pomysł na jej lampy zaczął się od poszukiwania sposobu, aby relief pozostał nieustannie widoczny. Odpowiedzią było uczynienie światła częścią samego dzieła — stałym współtwórcą, który wydobywa, zmienia i przekształca jego powierzchnię.

Czerpiąca z jej wykształcenia architektonicznego, praktyka Sonii opiera się na eksperymentowaniu, nieoczywistych rozwiązaniach i czasem elemencie przypadku. W swojej pracowni artystka opowiada o sposobie myślenia stojącym za jej rzeźbiarskim podejściem do światła.

W listopadzie zaprezentujemy jej prace podczas NOMAD Abu Dhabi, gdzie lampy Sonii będą częścią programu wystawienniczego galerii. Będzie to pierwsza prezentacja Galerii Craftica na NOMAD Abu Dhabi.

Birch plywood is at the heart of Cyryl Zakrzewski’s practice.

By testing the material’s limits and possibilities, he develops new techniques that lead to previously unseen forms and objects. Through a meticulous process of cutting, shaping, joining and finishing, Cyryl transforms an architectural material into sculptural designs, revealing the craftsmanship behind their making. Although birch plywood is familiar to many, in Cyryl’s hands it becomes a language entirely his own.

Craftica Gallery makes its Design Miami.Paris debut with Cyryl Zakrzewski, whose work has been selected for the fair’s Design at Large programme — a section dedicated to ambitious, large-scale works that extend beyond the traditional gallery booth. The presentation marks both our first participation in the fair and the first time we bring the work of a Polish artist to Design Miami.Paris.

We wanted to congratulate Zofia Sobolewska Ursic for her first institutional exhibition at National museum in Gdańsk. Her work ‘Rozrost’ marks a new direction in the artist’s practice. Composed of three modules, the work is Sobolewska’s first wall-based piece, translating her sculptural language into a form that enters directly into a dialogue with the architecture surrounding it.

Group exhibition brought together contemporary artistic practices into dialogue with historical botanical works and exploring our evolving relationship with the natural world.

Gratulujemy Zofii Sobolewskiej Ursic jej pierwszej wystawy instytucjonalnej w Muzeum Narodowym w Gdańsku. Jej praca „Rozrost” wyznacza nowy kierunek w praktyce artystki. Złożona z trzech modułów, jest pierwszą ścienną realizacja Sobolewskiej, przenosi jej język rzeźbiarski w formę, która wchodzi w bezpośredni dialog z otaczającą ją architekturą.

Wystawa zbiorowa „Ciała Ziemi. Ciała Nasze” zestawia współczesne praktyki artystyczne z historycznymi dziełami o tematyce botanicznej, podejmując refleksję nad zmieniającą się relacją człowieka ze światem natury.

‘The Art of Polish Craft’ is the very first album of contemporary polish design including artists, designers and craftsmen. We are happy to see many of the artists collaborating with Craftica be part of this publication. Many of the works shown in the album are part of Craftica’s program and can be seen in person at our gallery on Ordynacka 11 in Warsaw.

This album is a platform for the artists, redefining the relationship between craft, art and collectible design, while continuing to draw from the depth of Polish material culture. From wood, glass, textiles, ceramics and metal we are invited to explore the diverse ways in which they are transformed through traditional craftsmanship, experimentation, technology and contemporary design.
