Our new display has finally been put together for our re-enactments.

A moment, and a story, that will stay with us forever now protected within this frame. At the heart of it is a bullet casing we discovered in Poland, a small piece of history with a powerful story behind it.

This display will not only preserve that memory, but also help us share the story with all of you at future events and re-enactments.

This is a Searchlight Director Station at which is a concrete observation post on the ramparts of this Napoleonic fortress, used to manage searchlights that illuminated the Humber estuary during World War II. This structure served to direct lighting aimed at exposing enemy vessels or aircraft to coastal gun batteries.

We have finally upgraded our collection display with a secondary cabinet allowing us to acctually display all our memorabilia properly and organised

However… if we wanted to get more (which we will) we would still require more room 🙈😩 but nonetheless we love the result 🪖🎖️

A victory that was hard fought and hard won.

A victory that involved every part of society.

80 years on, we salute the extraordinary generation that liberated our continent and ensured that we, the generations that followed, can continue to live in peace.

Situated in Boston is this amazing museum showing all different roles during the war from ordinary families to soldiers fighting on the front. They have 2 main rooms absolutely packed with tons of awesome memorabilia and articacts. Aswell as having a reproduction shop, Anderson shelters and a prison. It is most definitely worth a visit, as not only are the staff and volunteers wonderful, but they are always there to assist and answer any questions you may have! Not to mention they also have a very delicious cafe 🍽️

Their aim is not only to keep history alive, but they are also on a journey to raise enough money to build a hanger in order to open another exhibit and to house the brilliant hawker hurricane! And the only way they can get there is with your help! If you would like to donate towards this amazing cause, please donate by copying this link into your browser:
