I gotta say, drawing is sooo much easier now that I only have to use one device to sketch instead of carrying note pads and markers around. Best investment I’ve made in a while!

Inspiration Part 1

Inspiration is everywhere: in movement, literature, characters/people.
Last summer, I was at a party in Nola where I watched a Flamenco dancer perform. EVERYTHING about her performance inspired me - so much so that I almost moved to Madrid over New York.
Picture this. Spanish guitar. The sound of the dancers’ heels tapping to the music. Skirt ruffles being thrown around. Pride and sensuality in every motion.

I was mesmerized.

This was Spanish culture. This was history dancing before my eyes. And I could not have been more inspired.
While I did not end up moving to Spain, my fascination with it has brought me to learn so much about Spain’s culture, history, & it’s people. Stay tuned to see how I integrate my inspiration into my newest collection.
