قبل أن يكون التطريز زينةً على الثوب... هو لغة تُحكى بالخيط، ورمز يحمل ذاكرة المكان. 🇵🇸
ضمن برنامج تميّز الربيعي – الموسم الثاني، قدّمت مصممة الأزياء الكنعانية امتياز أبو عواد لقاءً حول عالم التطريز الفلسطيني، تعرّف خلاله المشاركون على الرموز والدلالات التي تختزنها الأثواب الفلسطينية، وما تحمله من قصص مرتبطة بالمكان والهوية والتاريخ.
ومن تنوّع النقوش بين المناطق الفلسطينية إلى المعاني التي تحملها كل قطعة، شكّل اللقاء فرصة لاكتشاف جمال إرثنا الثقافي، وأهمية الحفاظ عليه ونقله للأجيال القادمة.

Before embroidery became an ornament on the dress… it was a language woven through thread, and a symbol carrying the memory of a place.
As part of the Tamayyaz Spring Programme – Season Two, Palestinian fashion designer Imtiaz Abu Awwad Al-Kanaani delivered a session exploring the world of Palestinian embroidery. Participants learned about the symbols and meanings woven into Palestinian traditional dresses, and the stories they preserve, reflecting connections to place, identity, and history.
From the diversity of embroidery patterns across Palestinian regions to the meanings behind each piece, the session provided an opportunity to discover the beauty of our cultural heritage and the importance of preserving it and passing it on to future generations.
