Receiving the Council of Fashion Designers of America Positive Change Award is deeply meaningful, I am so grateful to the Tory Burch Foundation team and the extraordinary entrepreneurs who inspire me every day.

In 2004, I started my company so I could start a foundation for women. I didn’t know exactly how I would do it — I just knew I wanted business and purpose to grow together.

What I learned is that you don’t have to wait until you have every resource to begin making the change you want to see. You can start now. Be creative with your time, your expertise, and your network.
