I wanted to have this sweater ready (my first baby sweater) before Christmas. But nothing ever goes as planned. 100 reasons why other things got in the way.

I also had to get creative, as the brown yarn was finishing up much quicker than I had thought (this being a stash cleanup project). So I grabbed the skein with the yoke-color and made a blurry transition in a snowy, random pattern, because I don't know how to calculate a repetition of the yoke with more stitches.

And truly, I love how it is turning out. ❤️

But now I have to frog in order to get the increases BEFORE the sleeve-division and not after. How did I ever think that I would get away with such a mistake. The body became wide as a dress! And the mental devastating frog-decision had to be made. 😅

So frogging it is! 😥

Yarn: Susurro (silk, merino and linnen) by Malabrigo.
Pattern: Free pattern 'Gerbera' by Järbo found on Ravelry

I am still avoiding doing the steaks. But the sweater HAS to be ready for Christmas. And the pepparkakshus (gingerbread-cottage) isn't finished either (I got out of steam after 6 hours of work on the dough, design and the sugar glaze). Still windows, door and walls left to be decorated.😅

Dragging my winter knitting for my old man along, practically everywhere.
Happy to finally have finished knitting the body on 3 mm needles for ages and now seeing progress at every round of the yoke.
A true labour of love.

Back from vacation. A thousand things to do. Tough to find the flow after so many days off. Behind the computer, baking bread, tons of washing to be done, appointments, the horses, cat and dog, getting into the autumn vibe, knitting, knitting, knitting (my first and ONLY sweater for my dearest, on 3 mm needles, size XXL and extra long to fit his height - and the progress after all my input is hardly visible, pffff).
P.S. Wearing my by and the dark grey WIP on my needles is by .

A WIP that has haunted me for a VERY long time, even though the colors are FAB! Only 2/3 of the second sleeve is left, but somehow there was always other things to be done and it remained in the project bag, hidden, like a bad conscience. Guilt. Me being too lazy.

Summer holidays are over and work has to be done. So I'm done procastinating. Time to finally wear it. 💪😅

Help!!! Need advice!!!

Am picking up stitches along the cardigan (that is WAY longer than in the pattern ). But there is no way that I will be able to get ALL the stitches onto my circular needle in one go (or it had to be almost 2 meters long... 😬).

Can I do the button-band/edge in two parts (until the centre of the neck)? And then, in some way, unite the two parts in a neat way?

Any piece of advice is most welcome. 🙏🙏🙏

X/Patricia

Italian bindoff... Beautiful, slow (irritatingly slow at times) and a mystery that somebody with a genius insight could come up with such a solution. It amazes me every time (and every time I have to check it up how to do it - must be my age).

After an hour I'm still only halfway....

Cheers!
