...And just like that our exhibition 'Housewarming' is finished. We are over the moon with the workshops and guests and everything that happened in this little room over the last few days. Thank you.

Now, we need to meet, regroup, and work out how this space becomes a permanent part of the community. We already had many requests for coffee mornings from 6am, but also a space for Turkish wool spinning and electronics mending workshops. That all sounds fantastic, so we'll see how we go about it.

FREE CLOTHES MENDING AND FIKA!

Never threaded a needle before? Nervous about knots? Even better! Studio Växt member and skiled artisan Anna Robinson is excited to teach you mending skills that last a lifetime. She will show you her four favourite mending stitches across a long fika.

Everything is free of charge, including materials, bullar and coffee. 😊

Today's the day!

At 5pm our exhibition 'Housewarming' opens and it's a double celebration. The first time we open our lovely new space Tjoho! As a group we work across craft, art and design, so you'll see some artwork, but also some bespoke furniture in the space.

CHOPSTICKS & RAMEN WORKSHOP 🍜

Join us for a hands-on evening of making and eating!

Start by crafting your own wooden chopsticks with local woodworker Joe Clark. You’ll learn how to shape and carve your own pair from wood.

Then, put your new chopsticks to the test with a bowl of delicious ramen prepared by Biba SJ, part of the team behind Studio Växt’s much-loved LUNCH events.

CRAFT DAYS UTSTÄLLNING – VERNISSAGE! (English below)

Den 7 maj kl. 17–20 har vi vernissage för ‘Housewarming’, där Studio Växt firar sin senaste rumsliga tillväxt – Tjoho! – ett offentligt vardagsrum för mat, musik och möten. Utöver en ny lokal för byn fylls rummet under utställningen med handgjorda möbler och konstverk skapade av Studio Växts medlemmar.

Vi bjuder på snacks och drycker. 🌿❤️

CRAFT DAYS EXHIBITION – PRIVATE VIEW!

On May 7, 17:00–20:00, we’re hosting the opening of ‘Housewarming’, where Studio Växt celebrates its latest spatial expansion – Tjoho! – a public living room for food, music, and gatherings.
In addition to offering a new space for the village, the exhibition fills the room with handmade furniture and artworks created by members of Studio Växt.

A new community space is opening in Dals Långed...

TJOHO! is a space for meeting, eating, making, learning, and being from the same team behind Studio Växt. In the same building as we currently are we will launch with a group exhibition as part of festival on the 7th May. The Doors will be open throughout the 7th-10th with a vernissage and series of workshops.

We've been working hard on this space and can't wait to share it with you. This picture shows the logo in the window and tools amid the build 🙂.

Växt has been very quiet on Instagram but very busy in real life. Some of our members have been working on a sketch assignment for public art, and others are working on a project to help re-imagine local unused former undustrial spaces. We promise to share more abiut these soon.

Aside from that, we are also opening a new community space! It will open for the first time with our exhibition for Craft Days festival on coincide with our vernissage on the 7th May. Keep your eyes peeled. We've been busy painting today. 👀 👀 👀

19 april 12-14 LOOK UP @ Långedsverken!

Är du intresserad av att hyra en lokal på Långedsverken?
Projektet Plats-Kreativitet-Transformation bygger på att hitta en hållbar affärsmodell för Långedsverkens framtid.

Vi kommer först samlas i Open Woods lokaler för att berätta om vilka vi är som driver projektet. Därefter kommer gå på en guidad tur i byggnaden för att titta på vilka delar som skulle kunna passa din verksamhet.
