This is where Khoj Vrångö shawls are produced, a workshop in Kathmandu weaving merino, cashmere, and yak wool. The thread is coated in a plant based glue while it’s woven, then washed clean after, which is what makes the finished shawl thin as a cloud.
All done by hand, by artisans with incredible footwork and even better smiles.

Convinced my daughter into modeling behind the house last night again….

Deep blue cashmere, handmade in Kathmandu, thin as a cloud. Today I sold the last one in my little showroom but new ones will come arrive in a few weeks 💙

The yellow eri silk sold out, and the restock has turned into a small relay: one order stuck in Bangalore now coming with a friend in mid-August, another friend from Guwahati bringing more.
Until then, this eri silk on my Japanese friend and my very patient dog will have to do. Handwoven in Assam and coloured with natural ingredients.

Hiking Jämtlandstriangeln and following the red crosses that mark the trail. Wanted a shot of the yak wool shawl hanging on one. Both me and my daughter are too short for that plan. Lots of jumping, handwoven yak wool from Nepal, mission eventually accomplished.
