Dear HiPP family,
Transparency and responsibility are central principles of our communication. Especially when it comes to baby food, it is important to us to inform parents reliably.
We are aware of recent reports regarding a recall of HiPP baby food jars in Austria and understand your concerns. We would like to reassure parents and caregivers in Singapore of the following:
• The incident is limited to specific jar products sold through SPAR Austria.
• HiPP products in Asia and those imported and distributed by the official distributor in Singapore — Culina Pte Ltd — are not affected and remain safe for your family.
• The incident is in no way related to the quality or production of HiPP products. HiPP production, quality, and control systems are fully intact.
• The incident is not due to a product or quality issue on our part. The jars left the HiPP factory in perfect condition. The manipulation occurred afterward and is a criminal act.
• The recall is related to a criminal act being investigated by the authorities.
As a precaution, we encourage checking that packaging is intact before use, especially that the vacuum seal is unbroken (with a “pop” sound upon opening), and to avoid consuming any product that appears damaged or unusual.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely in coordination with the relevant authorities.
