One of the most brilliant implementations on the E61 style machines is the flow control device that sits above the mushroom head, effectively limiting the water access to the coffee bed.

Here we quickly show how you can extend a fast flowing shot to a more reasonable 24s pull by restricting flow to the 6 o clock position. This would have otherwise been a much sharper, sour tasting cup.

The monthly Roast Class sessions returns this month where we will be covering the fundamentals of roasting, workflow, quality control through taste alongside theory involving coffee greens, processing etc.

An actual live roast would be conducted on the spot with the incredible Aillio | Coffee Roasters Bullet R2 Pro and participants can expect to take home a sample of the roasted coffee home.

Classes are designed with beginners and aspiring roasters in mind with a trainer to student ratio of not more than 1:15 by coffee with merv Trainer Mervin Lim is a familiar and well known figure in the local coffee scene with more than 10-years of experience wearing multiple hats including judge, roaster, barista, owner, consultant etc.
