No matter what you do as a mum…
Someone will always have an opinion 🥹

Stay home? “You should be working.”

Go back to work? “Don’t you miss your baby?”

Breastfeed? Formula feed? Co-sleep? Sleep train?

No matter your choice, someone will think they would’ve done it differently.

There isn’t one perfect way to parent. As long as your decisions are safe, informed, and made with love, you’re doing what your baby needs most.

So listen to trusted medical advice. Trust your instincts. And don’t let outside opinions drown out your confidence.

Your baby doesn’t need everyone else’s version of a perfect mum. They just need you! 🤗

Seeing your premature baby reach milestones later than other babies can be worrying.

But here’s something every parent of a preemie should remember:
Don’t compare your premature baby to babies born at full term! 🤗

Premature babies have their own timeline. That’s why doctors often use corrected age, which takes into account how early your baby was born to better assess their growth and development.

A smile that comes a little later.

Rolling over a few weeks after another baby.

Taking extra time to sit or crawl.

These don’t automatically mean your baby is “behind.” They may simply be growing exactly as expected for their corrected age.

Every milestone is still worth celebrating, no matter when it happens.

Your little one has already overcome one of life’s biggest challenges by arriving early. Now, give them the grace to grow at their own pace! 💛

If your baby keeps hiding their face during the ultrasound… you’re definitely not alone! 🤗

One minute they’re in the perfect position… the next, they’ve turned away, covered their face with their hands, or decided it’s the perfect time for a nap. 😂

It might feel frustrating when you’re hoping to catch a clear glimpse of your little one, but these moments often become stories you’ll laugh about together one day.

Sometimes, babies simply aren’t ready for their close-up, and that’s okay.

Whether you get the perfect ultrasound photo or not, the most important thing is hearing that little heartbeat and knowing your baby is growing safely.

The best view is still waiting for you, the moment you finally get to hold them in your arms. 💛

No one tells you that becoming a mum changes you in the smallest, quietest ways 🤍

You stop eating your meal while it’s hot because your baby needs you first. You pack their bag before you remember your own water bottle. You wake up at the slightest sound they make, even when you’re exhausted.

Little by little, your priorities begin to shift.

Not because you’ve stopped caring about yourself…

But because someone else has become your whole world.

Motherhood isn’t measured by grand gestures. It’s found in the tiny, everyday moments where you choose your baby over yourself, again and again, without expecting anything in return.

It’s tiring. It’s messy. It’s beautiful.

And somehow, despite everything, you’d do it all over again for that little smile! 🥰

It’s often the smallest details that make the biggest difference. 🍼

One of them is how you hold your baby’s bottle during feeds!

Keeping the bottle tilted so the teat stays completely filled with milk helps reduce the amount of air your baby swallows. This may help minimize discomfort like gas, frequent burping, or spit-ups during and after feeding.

It’s a simple adjustment that takes just a second—but can make feeding a little more comfortable for your little one. 🤍

Every baby is different, so if your baby seems unusually fussy during feeds or has ongoing feeding difficulties, don’t hesitate to speak with your pediatrician.

Save this post for your next feed, and share it with another parent who might find this helpful! 💛
