Matex was incorporated on 30 September 1989 in Singapore and we started our operation in the name of Matex Specialty Chemicals Pte Ltd under the stewardship of Dr Alex Tan Pang Kee. Our principal activities include manufacturing, formulation and sale of specialty chemicals focusing on dyestuffs and auxiliaries for the textile industry. Headquartered in Singapore and listed on the Singapore Stock E

xchange main board since Feb, 2004. Matex has specialty dyestuff and textile chemicals as its core business and is involved in material science, biotechnology/life science, environmental science, computerized system/IT, and human resource through its group of companies. After 20 years of expansion, the group now has 400 employees worldwide, with assets totaling more than SGD 100 million and accumulated total profits after tax exceeding SGD 50 million๏ผŒwith 7 subsidiaries spread across Singapore, Malaysia, China and other countries and regions. Of noteworthy is the latest addition to the group in Taixing, China, 2 state of-the-art production facility sites. One site can produce 30,000 metric tons of reactive dyes and the other produces specialty chemicals such as textile auxiliaries. We are really proud to announce for the 2nd time in a row for Raffles Design College, their student Ms Sonpavorapong Sasipim the winner of the Singapore SDC Heats 2023/24 hosted by Matex in Singapore was further awarded the Grand Winner of the SDC 2023/24 International Design Competition hosted by SDC in York, UK on 8th November 2024.

Our warmest congratulatory to Ms Sonpavorapong Sasipim from the Raffles Design College of Higher Education. Her winning project titled โ€œActinobacteriaโ€ drives on the awareness through this winning inspiration capsule collection from the harmony of mutualisms in symbiosis. By adding value to agricultural waste through the extraction of colors from Actinobacteria found in the soils, dedicating to fostering a mutually beneficial relationship between two different organisms for betterment of humanity.

Big thanks to everyone who had participated and helped out in the SDC competition 2023/24, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

The GCNS 9th Singapore Apex Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony took place on 04th October 2024! The Gala welcomed Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment & Ministry of Manpower, as the Guest of Honour alongside business leaders and change makers to felicitate sustainability excellence.

The event provided business leaders with the opportunity to network and honour the trailblazers in sustainability whose businesses or solutions have demonstrated excellence in embodying the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, across 3 categories - Sustainable Business, Sustainable Solutions and LowCarbonSG.

Since 1994, Ren Ci Hospital has been guided by the principles of loving kindness and compassion to provide affordable medical, nursing and rehabilitative care services to the elderly and underprivileged regardless of oneโ€™s background, race and religion. From a single Chronic Sick Unit with 174 beds, Ren Ci has grown to operate a total of 1301 beds across a community hospital and three nursing homes, with the newest 332-bed Ren Ci @ Woodlands nursing home operationalising in February 2024. Currently, Ren Ci also operates four Senior Care Centres, an Active Ageing Centre (Care) and offers Home Care services for seniors in the community. Annually, Ren Ci serves more than 2,000 patients, residents and clients, the majority of whom suffer from multiple medical conditions and come from low-income families.
