Designers should be more than just designers. ๐ก
That was the core theme at our Innovation at Intersections session, hosted in collaboration with Service Design Singapore (SDS)โa fantastic community of innovators from across the public and private sectors.
Led by SDS Founder Nav QIRTI, alongside design leaders Megs ARMOUR, Founder of Armour Advisory and Strata ex-Lloyds Bank EY, and Karin AUE, Senior Lecturer from NUS DID, and Design Director of Chemistry, the discussion pushed us to think beyond traditional craft. They introduced us to powerful new perspectives, like the "O-shaped designer" (a creative who seamlessly integrates systems, people, and impact) and the need to design within the Doughnut Economy (balancing environmental limits with social needs).
Together, these ideas reflect a more holistic, systems-based approach to design โ one that is open, relevant, and future-focused.
