Faeryworks by Juliana Chan

Faeryworks by Juliana Chan I craft jewellery for myself and as gifts for friends. Do I sell my pieces? I have sold a few and do I prefer using natural stones for their unique character.

I am fascinated by jewellery, especially antique pieces from when only the simplest methods were used. These have their limitations and thus challenge the creativity and skill of the crafter. Faeryworks pieces are created primarily with wirework using 14k goldfill, vermeil or silver so they stay beautiful for a long time. I have been collecting them for two decades and select them carefully for co

lour, lustre and shape, and then try to bring out their best. I invite you to browse here but there are far more pieces and materials in my workshop. Let me know if you would like to come see them and dream up beautiful ways to wear them.

Came across and tried this method on silver and vermeil jewellery and it worked like a charm. I used a smaller container and scaled down the amounts as the items are not so big. I didn't even need to brush except for a few intricate pieces. And I used a tiny inter-dental brush so as not to risk scratching or damaging fine work.

Clean your silver quickly, without polishing it or using expensive cleaners. This simple homemade solution uses aluminum foil, salt, and baking soda.

Managed to pick up my tools again to make this necklace that doubles up as a bracelet. Love those big faceted amethrine stones in combination with polished tourmalines. All wired up with 14k GF. Completed it just in time to present to my niece for her special day.
