Sharp pleats and a clean drape.

With the right cloth, considered design, and a bespoke pattern cut for the individual, a clean trouser line can be achieved even with bow legs.

The KAY-JEN house cut.

A softly tailored silhouette built on comfort, proportion, and elegance.

Our fully canvassed jackets feature natural, unpadded shoulders, a clean chest, gentle waist suppression, and open quarters, creating a graceful crescent line through the front of the coat.

Our trousers sit at a mid to high rise with a gentle taper, more often than not finished with our signature pleats.

The result is a relaxed and slouchy silhouette that drapes naturally.

Cut well and pressed well, even an 18” trouser hem doesn’t look overly baggy or wide.

We cut our jacket quarters slightly more open to create the illusion of a shorter jacket, without actually compromising on its length.

The position of a jacket’s buttoning point has a subtle yet significant impact on its overall appearance. We favour a slightly lowered buttoning point for the visual length it creates, resulting in a relaxed yet elegant silhouette.

We set out to create a suit that feels as relaxed as it looks—soft, effortless and slightly slouchy, yet never lacking in elegance. Gently tailored to the individual, while maintaining a clean, refined silhouette.

Our client naturally has a 7-inch drop, and our intention was simply to make the most of it.

A slightly more shapely silhouette, tailored with Fresco wool, allows the jacket to drape elegantly while maintaining its form. The cloth’s dry handle, inherent structure and excellent crease resistance make it an ideal choice for tailoring that calls for a clean, sculpted silhouette.

We have long been admirers of Maison Hellard linens. Their considered use of colour and pattern often lends the cloth a distinctly autumnal character.

Here, a sports jacket tailored in their sanforised and brushed linen—a houndstooth woven in an elusive mix of brown, green and blue.
