The cutest project I have ever made. 🦋This mini collection was made for one little girl. She will be discovering brand new world in style. 🎀 Because she is now just a couple of months old and the weather is still not that ‘summerish’, clothes will have to wait a little bit that this young lady grows and that temperatures gets higher. ☀️

Thanks to photographer Ksaver Šinkar (Ksaver Šinkar - photographer)
Thanks to mummy and this talented baby model.

It’s time to show you my latest work! Back in early January I received an amazing and interesting offer by one young and very talented Slovenian photographer - Ksaver Šinkar

I was in charge of clothes and Ksaver was in charge of photography, of course. Because his exhibition is talking about his critical view at the future of humanity he imagined a little different looks that would be expected. So he asked me if I can make clothes from plastic materials, like polyvinyl, construction foil. For now I am already adjusted that my works are more and more time connected with atypical materials and not that much with traditional fabric, so I accepted this interesting challenge.

Raincoats are made form construction foil (used for covering construction material) and colorful plastic tablecloths, which are intended for covering garden tables. With plastic clothes Ksaver wanted to present human equality against the powerful nature, although the differences between the social classes are still presented.

Here are some sneak peak photos, which were take during the shooting. To look at selected photos, you’ll have to visit his exhibition, which is taking place on the walls of Mernetalerjeva hiša. You have time till end of February. Don’t’ missed it!

More about exhibition you’ll find it here: https://www.facebook.com/events/825755397556619/

mold on!

This project was made in my second year of studying fashion design and was seen at Ljubljana Fashion Week in april 2015.

Collection was made in collaboration with my school mate and my best friend Tina Homan, who is also very talented slovenian young designer. ❤️👌🏻

Our starting point was: What will happen in future? With what kind of problems we will meet up? Even now pollution is a big problem so we think that in future it will be even bigger. Why people buy so much food? 🍫🍩🍬🍕🍖 Do we really need that much? What happens with food that is not eaten? People throw it away! Why? Food that is not eaten it is ruined by the mold.

So we discovered mold, her negative side – attacks food; and good side – you can not believe how gorgeous textures and coloures can mold make! It is like a piece of art.

We started to make our own mold – mold made by polyurethane foam. When we worked and experimented with PU foam it was really dirty, stinky and sticky. Because it was winter time, you can only imagine how this looked like - us working in old clothes, that can be ruined by foam, with medical gloves on our hands and working in my basement all covered up by polyvinyl and old newspaper. 🙊🙈🙉
It was really a crazy journey. But at the end it was worht it and that is all that matters.

From experiments we got different textures that were captured by photo and transfered in our unique patterns. For collection we chose two different patterns (one for skirt and one for dress). Patterns were made in jacuard tecnique by us on our school weaving machine.

»mold on!« or »future is now« is autumn / winter collection and it is mix of experimental and wearable clothes.

For collection I realised also bags made by polyurethane foam compained with jute and plastic tablecloth.

At the end we used more that 30 bottels of polyurethane foam. Yeah souds alot!😳😁 (I think that we raised the selling numbers in Merkur for buying that much of PU foam in just few months 😂👍🏻)

Special thanks to gorgeous model Prisha JA, amazing photos were made by Nea Hladnik and also thanks to my brother Rok Štucin who helped us that the shooting ran smoothly.

This time I collaborated with Sara Zavernik, Slovenian blogger. Her blog is known as The Blonde Bliss.

The piece that I made for her is also from my latest collection w(hite)purity. And typically is all in white ⚪️. It’s made from warm coat textile for cold autumn days. It can be worn as vest or as dress, like Sara wore it.
She accessorized it with amazing hat 👒(which is her design), black boots and gold handbag.

I think that vest really suit her well and she rocked in it! Do you agree with me?

And Sara Zavernik thanks to you, for such amazing words! ❤️💚

Mercedes-Benz Fashion week is over, so finally I have some more time to post again something. These weeks were very busy.

MBFWLJ held a competition for young designers. I also participated in the contest and have been ranked among the 10 finalists. Our work was presented on Saturday with video projection.

Creation, whit which I participated in the contest was part of my latest collection w(hite)purity.

It was really great experience!

Here is just a few pictures with details, for whole look you'll have to wait a little.

55 / 2,5 = 1

Every woman should have one black dres – little black dres. On photos below is my version of little black dress.
Focus in this project was on black yarn, which we received as a gift from National Museum of Slovenia.

Last year they used this yarn in one of their exhibition as walls of labyrinth. The exhibition “White gold” was about white porcelain.
Our task was to use this black cotton yarn as creative as possible in one wearable dress.

I found Dior dress, which had sawn tubes connected in the form of tears on the lower part of the gown. This was starting point of my research.

So then I started knitting and knitting and knitting long long long long tubes. At the end I used 5500 m of single tread yarn and knitted in 250 m long tube. (you can measure it).

Story behind my dress is playing with empty and filled parts on dress, which are making different shades on body or cloth underneath. Because the whole meaning of black dress is her universality, also my design has that characteristic. Underneath you can wear anything, form black to white or other color dress, shirt, blouse or pants. It’s your choice.

Make it suitable for any occasion whit proper accessories!
