A casual look can very easily be effective in a business setting.
In this magnificent example, a herringbone-weave tweed jacket in warm colours has a few meticulous touches which will give an overall image of a well-dressed individual, namely:
a. hand-stitched picked-edges on the lapels as well as pocket-flaps, also known as saddle-stitching - in close ups the cornflower yellow stitching is obvious and in contrast to the colours of the jacket, but when looked at from a distance the colours seem to blend or match the background of the fabric and are not as much of a contrast anymore. This is thanks to the number of colours woven into the yarns of the tweed, and actually any of the colours within can be picked to play the role of saddle-stitching successfully.
b. contrast button-hole on the lapel - for lapel adornments - a depiction of old-world charm which has carried forward to this day.
c. surgeon buttons paired with button-holes at a slant, and with the third button-hole in the same cornflower yellow shade - it's a small detail which sets the jacket apart from what is usually seen around town.
d. golden paisley lining with red piping for the inside of jacket - this detail further allows the jacket to be personalized and individualized to the taste of the owner.
Custom-made, or bespoke, clothes allow the owner a large degree of flexibility in perfecting the look which the owner would like to project.
All of us are quite different in looks and character, our clothes should also reflect this reality.....
