Our first flagship is housed within the historic Prachoom Chang compound, once the printing house and headquarters of one of Thailand’s oldest newspapers, Daily News . Prachoom Chang translates as “a meeting of makers”.
Our neighbor is , where a shared appreciation for Southeast Asian craftsmanship, design, objects, and material culture will continue to unfold. The light at Prachoom Chang is especially beautiful around four o’clock onwards, when golden hour illuminates through the street front and compound.
During the past months as we peeled back layers of paint, layers of history revealed themselves, in the way that we worked with the space we wanted to speak to these histories, as well as find our own language and path ahead. Our intervention has been light: hand-applied indigo, surfaces sanded back to create a surface that will continue to absorb time, patina, and materials left to age naturally. Much like the dyeing process itself, where color is shaped through time, the space will continue to evolve.
What we love most is that this is a place where makers have gathered for generations. Almost everything we do is touched by the hand in some way, so there is something rather serendipitous about finding our first home in a place whose very name speaks of people coming together to make things.
We are open from Wednesday - Saturday 1 PM - 6 PM (except public holidays).
