🌿Handmade Protestant/Episcopal/Lutheran Prayer Beads🌿
The practice of praying using some kind of tangible object has a deep and long history in many faith traditions. The ancients used stones, pebbles, knotted ropes and other items to keep track of prayers, focus the mind and remind themselves that God comes to us through mind, body and spirit.
Most faith traditions have some form of prayer beads and whilst there is nothing 'holy' about the beads in and of themselves, they can be a beautiful tool in which to usher us into the presence of God. Each bead moved, one breath at a time, and linked to prayer.
In the 1980's a group of Episcopal parishioners were contemplating the ancient practise and developed these beads. Created out of 33 beads in all, reminding us of the age of Christ when he was crucified. The beads start with the stem, consisting of a charm and an invitatory bead, which prepares the heart to meet with God. A circle of prayer is then undertaken, leading us on a journey with the Divine.

Also included is a 20 page full colour booklet with directions on how to use the beads and set prayers as inspiration when you just don't know how to pray anymore, There is also space given to write your own prayers that speak to your heart.
