Natural dyeing is to create natural products that do not contain chemicals by combining the colors obtained from flowers, insects, leaves, seeds or shells found naturally in nature with raw fabric. Painting with plants dates back to the Neolithic Age in history. In the middle of the 19th century, the discovery of man-made synthetic dyes that could be produced in large quantities and quickly replaced natural dyes with the massive textile production provided by the industrial revolution. At the beginning of the 21st century, consumers became concerned about the health and environmental effects of synthetic dyes using toxic fossil fuel by-products in their production, increasing their demand for products produced using natural dyes. In the light of the historical rules of natural dyeing, it started to produce natural baby clothes with organic muslin fabric and colors coming from nature. How Does the Production Process Take Place? Our GOTS certified organic 100% cotton muslin fabrics are woven in the weaving factory in Denizli, Turkey, and take their final form in our local sewing workshop where ethical production is made with versatile and timeless models. Our products, which come to our color processing workshop with their raw colors, first go through a three-day mordant process (the process of preparing the fabric to keep the color on the fabric). Our paint is prepared in about two full days with different methods depending on the plant we will use. Our natural plant water is applied to our mordant products and put on hold for another full day. A product is washed and dried after 6 preparation days. And it is placed in our 100% organic cotton bags to reach you. Special attention should be paid to what is done with care;
-As the natural colors we obtain from the leaves, shells or flowers used in dyeing are still vivid when attached to your fabric, they may react with different external factors such as sun and sea water and experience color change over time.
