s that learning and development are one of the fundamental conditions of success and executes its research and development studies with two different teams, technical and design, in order to keep on the forefront in its sector, to protect and develop the quality standard in the products it has produced, and to make the most appropriate production for environmental health and safety. Research and Development Team visits the technical and fashion exhibitions organized in various countries in order to follow closely the developments and innovations in the sector. DESA, which has managed to combine its 38-year experience in the leather industry with new techniques and technologies, also occasionally initiates new studies that push its boundaries. DESA leads other companies in the sector on research and development with new projects on different finishing and tanning techniques. Quality is the first and foremost indispensable component for DESA. Therefore, quality development and quality control studies are also carried out in Research and Development laboratories at the same time. In the laboratory, friction, water-tightness, colour fastness and oil and chrome oxide analysis tests are applied periodically on all kinds of leather. In addition, products of all colours and quality are tested by SATRA and ITS, one of the international test centres. DESA has completed international accreditation studies of Research and Development Laboratory under its own structure and certificated its high quality standards. Our, production facilities work strictly according to TQM standards and all of the facilities are ISO 9001 as well as MSQR accredited. All leather used by DESA is tested by international testing laboratories such as ITS and BLC. In addition, DESA operates at its tannery the only leather testing laboratory in Turkey which is internationally accredited.
