This morning I want to give lots of flowers to the Trinidad & Tobago fashion designers that contributed looks for Latifah Morris' wardrobe;
So far I have been able to identify garments from Zadd & Eastman Claudia Pegus and Kaiso Swim .swim

The outstanding T&T wardrobe is creating quite a buzz with global fashionistas, beauty pageant influenzers and social media bloggers, kudos also to Stevie Jones, the Miss Universe TT nationional franchise director and his team for an exceptional job getting our Latifah ready in such a short time span.

T&T Fashion Industry Potential:
Let us hope that our Hon PM, her Cabinet colleagues and officials at the Trinidad & Tobago Trade & Investment Promotion Agency are taking note and recognizing the global potential for Trinidad & Tobago fashion merchandise.

I have run out of steam trying to convince successive government administrations for over 28 years to position and market Port-of-Spain the region's Fashion Capital, invest more resources to incubate and develop our talent, put the required manufacturing infrastructure in place in order to transform our cottage fashion industry into a globally respected, economically viable industrial sector. Now that I have left T&T I will see if the Minister of Trade K**a Maharaj is smart enough to beat the iron while it's hot and not lose this golden opportunity.

One of the most beautiful things about our identity is recognizing the power of The Journey.

Professionally, personally, spiritually, developmentally, and historically. What a tremendous moment of reflection where two Old Boys are now side by side with The Hon. Minister of Culture & Community Development as a part of her official staff as Manager and Advisor. This is truly a moment worth celebrating.

From humble beginnings where no one thought we would even graduate. Many counted us out. We were never a part of the 'College Elites', nor were we on any lists of scholarship winners. Instead, we loved deeply, we served our school population as prefects, sang in choirs, played steel plan, trained march past teams (and WON) every year. We were part of UNESCO clubs, library leadership, volleyball teams, Calypso competitions, school events, and the likes. We were called derogatory names and heckled because of how we were perceived. We left the institution but carried the brand identity of a Hillviewer proudly because we were more than what they called us, we became the banner of: HUMANI NIHIL ALIENUM {Nothing human is foreign to me}

Today, we get to facilitate your requests. We get to open doors for you. We are the very same ones you bullied and now entertain you. Hear me when I said young people, DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BULLIES. You are NOT what they call you. You are BRAVE! YOU are STRONG! YOU are WORTHY! YOU WILL BE SOMBODY!

We are your brothers. We are your advocates. We are your allies. We will speak for you and help you to speak up and show up. Let us work for you so that one day you, too, can stand where we are now because EVERYTHING is possible by God's grace and guidance.

Emancipation blessings T&T! This is the journey to true freedom. Lean in to the invitation to travel within and rediscover your intrinsic purpose. God is waiting to release a mighty plan on your life. Go on, get it!!!
