I am Madena Ashley Donald-Baird, creative designer and owner of Ashley's Only 1 Bags. I am the face behind the joy each product brings.
Today the 7th of November, marks 7 years since we registered as a business. Not started, but recognising we needed to make it official.
Over those seven years, we've found ourselves in spaces and places we could have never imagined as a business owner, meeting persons locally and internationally, getting access and being invited as we designed and created quality locally made products worthy of each customer and client.
We survived the era COVID, not merely surviving but flourished and adapted during that time.
For the new potential customers, let me introduce the brand and to the existing customers let me reintroduce you AO1Bags, a growing (Sole Proprietor) establishment that manufactures handmade bags, pouches, wristlets, aprons, kimonos and other fabric products. We also specialize in embroidery and printing services, with a Trinidad and Tobago souvenir line of both apparel and bags.
AO1Bags has over 7 years’ experience in Bag Construction and Manufacturing, taking the brand to major events across the world.
Over the past 5 years we have attended Carifesta 2019 and the recently concluded Carifesta 2025 in Barbados, TIC, Emancipation Village, Divali Nagar, posted at the Cruises ship Complex and also the recently concluded IATF2025 in Algeria and most if not all the local artisan markets held in Trinidad and Tobago.
AO1Bags has been featured in major newspapers, and magazines physically and online, eg. FashionTT- The LookBook Magazine, main stream television programs highlighting the quality of products we create as a growing local manufacturer, it gets even more wonderful as bag designer myself, enlisting to passing along my knowledge and experience teaching the craft of bag making through ECCL.
With so much to offer as we continue to grow and be present in different spaces achieving our developmental goals, I would just like to say on behalf of Ashley's Only 1 Bags and myself. Thank you all sincerely for sticking by us. We have so many things in store as we continue to make our mark in the industry, locally and internationally.
