Teachers are not to impose bliefs on student?

A Florida teacher under a state investigation for showing a Disney movie featuring a gay character. “It is not a teacher’s job to impose their beliefs upon a child: religious, sexual orientation, gender identity, any of the above.“ said by one of children’s parent.

There’s a fear that education content contain LGBTQ characters or ideas will make students gay. But many cases have shown children growing up reading about straight characters, with heterosexual parents still became gay. It is important that we acknowledge the existence of LGBT community and let children have the freedom to choose.
