在三盲鼠的專輯裡,你可以聽見 山本剛(Tsuyoshi Yamamoto) 細膩卻充滿力量的琴鍵;
感受 鈴木勳(Isao Suzuki) 深沉而富有彈性的低音提琴;
沉醉於 中本真理(Mari Nakamoto) 那兼具空氣感與情感張力的歌聲;

「 Three Blind Mice — Where Japanese Jazz Became Legendary 」
For audiophiles around the world, Three Blind Mice has never been just another record label.
If there is one name that defines the history of Japanese jazz, Three Blind Mice (TBM) is impossible to overlook.
Founded in the early 1970s, during the golden era of Japanese jazz, TBM emerged at a time when American labels such as Blue Note, Prestige, and Impulse! had already established the foundations of modern jazz. Instead of following in their footsteps, TBM created its own identity—capturing jazz through a uniquely Japanese aesthetic, philosophy, and recording approach.
Many listeners first discover Three Blind Mice through iconic albums such as Midnight Sugar by Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio or Blow Up by Isao Suzuki Quartet.
But what truly captivates collectors and jazz lovers isn’t just one legendary album.
It’s an entire generation of extraordinary musicians.
Within the TBM catalog, you’ll find the expressive piano of Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, the rich and powerful bass of Isao Suzuki, the beautifully intimate vocals of Mari Nakamoto, the passionate trumpet of Terumasa Hino, and unforgettable performances by artists including George Otsuka, Hidehiko Matsumoto, Masaru Imada, and Takao Uematsu.
Each left behind recordings that continue to inspire jazz lovers and collectors around the world.
⸻
Yet the legend of Three Blind Mice was shaped by more than remarkable musicians.
Behind every great recording stood its visionary founder and producer, Takeo “Tee” Fujii.
Fujii believed that great recordings should do more than simply document a performance.
They should recreate the feeling of being there—allowing listeners to hear the interaction between musicians, the subtle dynamics of each performance, and even the ambience of the recording space itself.
Working alongside legendary recording engineers Yoshihiko Kannari and Okihiko Sugano, TBM produced recordings that remain reference standards for audiophiles even today.
Half a century later, Three Blind Mice records are still regularly heard at international hi-fi exhibitions, specialty audio retailers, and in the listening rooms of passionate collectors worldwide.
TBM is not only an important chapter in jazz history.
It is also one of the greatest achievements in the art of recording.
⸻
If you’ve ever wondered why original Japanese jazz pressings continue to be sought after more than fifty years after their release, this event will answer that question.
REVERHAUS is honored to welcome Dr. Tzu-Ping Shih, one of Taiwan’s most dedicated Three Blind Mice collectors and researchers.
After years of studying the label’s history, artists, recording philosophy, and pressing variations, Dr. Shih has assembled an extraordinarily rare complete collection of all 124 original first-press Three Blind Mice LPs.
For this special event, the entire collection will be exhibited publicly at REVERHAUS.
In addition, Dr. Shih will personally introduce ten of his favorite TBM recordings, sharing the stories behind the music while exploring the label’s artistic vision, recording techniques, and lasting influence on both jazz and audiophile culture.
This is far more than a vinyl listening session.
It is an immersive journey into one of the most celebrated chapters in Japanese jazz history.
