----------

This is a 108-bead mala hand-selected in Nepal, where each bead has been individually hand-carved with a small skull face set into its natural ridged surface. Beads measure 12–16mm, with a total strand length of 88cm. No two beads are quite alike — the carving depth, spacing, and eye placement shift slightly from bead to bead, a clear sign of an artisan's hand rather than a mold or machine. That irregularity, paired with the warm, aged patina across the strand, is what gives a piece like this real character.

The skull motif carries meaning as well as beauty. In Tibetan Buddhist practice, skull imagery is closely tied to wrathful protector deities such as Mahakala, Yamantaka, Yoginis, along with the dancing skeleton pair Citipati — all associated with the destruction of ego, fear of death, and the teaching of impermanence.

This exquisite 4.5×3.5 cm handmade copper repoussé and fire-gilt piece, crafted by traditional Nepali artisans, hollow inside, making it an ideal treasure to place inside the heart chamber (bumpa) of a stupa. In Himalayan tradition, housing a consecrated deity like Namgyalma inside a stupa seals immense spiritual blessings, radiating peace, protection, and auspicious energy to the surrounding environment.

----------

Ushnisha Vijaya, also known in Tibetan as Namgyalma and in Chinese as Zunsheng Fomu, is one of Buddhism's three principal longevity deities alongside Amitayus and White Tara. Her name translates to "Victorious Ushnisha," representing enlightenment's ultimate power to overcome obstacles, delusions, and untimely death.

Distinguished by her unique iconography, she features three distinct faces—a peaceful white center face, a joyous yellow right face, and a semi-wrathful blue or red left face—alongside eight hands that hold powerful attributes like a double thunderbolt, a miniature Amitabha Buddha, an arrow, a bow, and a nectar vase while performing sacred mudras.

Renowned for her potent mantra, Namgyalma holds supreme power over longevity and the complete purification of negative karma, protecting beings from untimely death and ensuring favorable rebirths.

----------

This unique design is known as a Kadampa Stupa. It is modeled exactly after the portable stupas carried by the Indian master Atisha, who played a pivotal role in reviving Buddhism in Tibet. Throughout his life of walking and spreading the Dharma, he always carried this stupa as his personal spiritual support and protective guardian. Because of this deep connection, the Kadampa Stupa became Atisha's signature iconographic attribute in Tibetan art, symbolizing the enlightened "mind" (heart-mind) of the Buddha.

The Thirteen Ring-Discs: The Ladder of Awakening
The stair-like ridges on the conical spire (the top pinnacle) represent the thirteen stacked ring-discs in Buddhist architecture and cosmology. They serve as a metaphor for the practitioner's spiritual journey toward perfect enlightenment:

The Thirteen Bhumis (Bodhisattva Stages): The bottom ten layers represent the "Ten Bhumis" of purifying the mind and unfolding wisdom. The top three layers represent the final, highest extraordinary achievements of attaining full Buddhahood.

The Thirteen Powers (Virtues of a Buddha): They simultaneously symbolize the thirteen supreme wisdoms and spiritual powers possessed exclusively by a fully awakened being.

As the spire gradually tapers upward like a rising flame of wisdom, it symbolizes the mind becoming increasingly pure, ultimately reaching liberation at the very peak.

The Consecration Ritual: Awakening Sacred Life
By tradition, a stupa must never be left empty; it must undergo a consecration ritual (Zungzhuk) to transform the wood carving into a living sacred vessel. To facilitate this, the stupa is specially designed with two independent, threaded compartments:

The Lower Base Compartment: This is meant to be filled with tightly rolled scrolls of sacred mantras (scriptures) written on fine paper, aromatic incense powders, cedarwood, and holy soil or semi-precious stones collected from sacred sites.

The Upper Compartment: This typically houses miniature Buddha statues (tsa-tsas), consecrated holy rice, or highly precious relics of enlightened masters.

Official Export Clearance
Because this stupa is hand-carved from premium, protected hardwood by Nepalese artisans, it must carry proof of legal origin to leave the country. The white paper tag secured by a red wax stamp hanging from the stupa is the official Curio Clearance Certificate issued by the Government of Nepal.

Single-Faced Iron Phurba

According to ta***ic scriptures, wrathful ritual implements are traditionally commanded to be forged from iron because it possesses a fierce, unyielding energy required to subdue spiritual obstacles. Unlike three-faced versions, a single-faced phurba focuses the absolute concentration of a singular wrathful protector, utilizing a direct, fearless gaze to instantly dissolve inner delusions and external hindrances. Its three-sided blade emerges powerfully from the jaws of a mythical Makara, symbolizing unstoppable force designed to cut through the three root poisons: ignorance, attachment, and aversion.

At a compact 15cm, this piece is exceptionally portable, fitting easily into a bag or pocket to serve as a mobile anchor of protection. It creates a safe, sacred space and purifies negative environmental energies wherever you go. Traditionally carried by practitioners to ward off localized obstacles and erratic energies during travel, it also acts as an immediate, tactile reminder of mindfulness and spiritual stability while away from home.

In terms of craftsmanship, iron is far harder to cast and carve than copper or bronze. Its extreme hardness and lack of malleability make manual chiseling incredibly difficult, frequently breaking tools. Furthermore, iron's exceptionally high melting point (1538°C) causes the molten metal to cool rapidly with poor fluidity, making detailed casting immense work. The subsequent cold-carving and polishing require several times the labor of softer metals. Consequently, achieving such sharp, distinct facial features and clean lines on a 15cm iron piece reflects masterful artistry, making it far rarer and more valuable than standard copper implements.

This is a Tibetan Ghau (portable shrine) that seamlessly blends master-grade metalwork with solemn protective power. Unlike traditional, all-metal personal shrines, this masterpiece boldly utilizes a solid, thick slab of natural clear quartz crystal as its primary body, catching the light to reveal natural, ice-like internal fissures and textures. In Himalayan Buddhism, clear quartz signifies the absolute purity of the mind and the awakening of ultimate wisdom.

Master-Grade Repoussé & Filigree Work: The stunning 3D elements are created using traditional repoussé—hand-hammering a sheet of metal from the reverse side to sculpt three-dimensional forms, then beautifully refined from the front with precise chasing. Delicate, lace-like filigree metal wirework accents the borders, showcasing the peak of Himalayan artistic tradition.

The Wrathful Guardian at the Peak (Chhepu / Kirtimukha): Sitting majestically at the top, this powerful protective deity is revered for its ability to swallow misfortune, dispel negative energies, and safeguard the home.

Sacred Dzi Beads on Both Sides: Encrusted with unique Dzi beads, which are deeply treasured in Himalayan culture as legacy amulets for protection and peace.

Classic Turquoise and Coral Inlays: The borders are meticulously hand-set with countless natural turquoise and coral stones. Turquoise symbolizes the sky and spiritual ascension, while coral represents the earth and life force.

Hand-Chiseled Lotus Base: An exquisitely handcrafted base featuring classic ruyi beast-shaped feet, beautifully crowned with layered turquoise lotus petals for a stable yet luxurious stance.

The Ta***ic Dalche Box is a rare, substantial ritual weapon set used in Vajrayana Buddhist ceremonies. Hand-forged in Nepal from a sacred blend of copper, brass, and iron, each of its thirteen distinct, 20cm long tools is individually cast, chiseled, and hand-engraved.

The container’s sharp, triangular geometry is scripturally mandated to manifest fire energy and dismantle delusions, all crowned by an integrated Vajra handle symbolizing the indestructible nature of ultimate truth.

Within this sacred set, each implement serves as a precise spiritual counter-weapon designed to conquer inner poisons:

The Phurba (Dagger) & Kartika (Chopper): The triple-bladed Phurba immobilizes hostile karma and severs ignorance, attachment, and aversion, while the Kartika cuts through the ego to transmute worldly delusion into pure wisdom.

The Sword & Bow and Arrow: Associated with Manjushri, the Sword's razor edge cuts the dualistic mind. The Bow and Arrow marry ultimate Wisdom (Prajna) and Method (Upaya) to strike the target of enlightenment.

Shattering & Defensive Tools: The Ritual Chain binds volatile emotional impulses, the Axe hacks through generational karma, and the Hammer crushes human pride. Completing the armory are supporting implements—including a Trident, lasso, shield, spear, hook, and club—scripturally mandated for ultimate spiritual protection.

—————

Jhambhala, is God of Wealth, Abundance, and Prosperity. recognizable by his stout, powerful physique and the precious jewel-spitting mongoose held in his left hand, Jambhala is sought after to bring both spiritual and financial well-being into a space.

While most Himalayan deity statues are cast in bronze or brass, this piece is meticulously sculpted from a single block of natural Lapis Lazuli. Statues carved entirely out of semi-precious gemstones of this size are exceptionally rare, making this a collector's item rather than a common trade piece.

Carving this deity by hand is an immense technical challenge. Because lapis lazuli is a rock composed of multiple distinct minerals—such as soft lazurite, brittle calcite, and hard metallic pyrite inclusions—it possesses unpredictable internal weak points. A single miscalculated strike on an intricate 8cm scale can easily cause the stone to fracture, chip, or entirely crumble. It requires the legendary precision of master artisans in Nepal to successfully carve such delicate details—like the ornate crown, facial expression, and jewelry lines—without destroying the gemstone.

----------

Our recent trip to Nepal was unlike any journey we’ve taken before. It began with a wild and random idea: to challenge ourselves with a 5-day trek up Mardi Himal. Reaching an altitude of over 4,000 meters—even higher than Taiwan's majestic Jade Mountain (3,952m)—was a truly breathtaking experience. They say Mardi Himal is one of Nepal’s friendliest and most accessible treks compared to the other famous giants, but standing up there amidst the clouds gave us a profound sense of peace and fresh perspective.

Once we descended from the mountains, the true heart of our trip began. We spent over two weeks reconnecting with the long time friends who make our shop possible. It was a beautiful, emotional milestone for us. Many of our early suppliers—who have walked alongside us for decades—are now retiring, gracefully passing the torch to the next generation. Seeing the passion continue through their children was consoling.

We also spent days visiting workshops and factories, watching and even participating in the making of the goods we’ve sold for decades. Seeing firsthand how these items are entirely handmade, stitch by stitch, hammer by hammer, gave us an even deeper respect for the craft.

Nepal remains a wonderfully safe place, filled with friendly people. And even though our shop back home is already packed with beautiful things, we simply couldn’t resist. We hand-selected a stunning new array of pieces that aren’t just for inventory—they are treasures, chosen carefully to be part of our shop’s special collection.

We look forward to share with you. Thank you for being part of our journey🙏
