洪麗芬致力於服裝設計創作迄今已逾30年，活躍於巴黎、紐約及東京等國際時尚舞台，創作領域極廣，除了時裝創作發表，也經常參與國內外表演藝術團體的服裝設計、劇服設計、形象制服的設計及現代藝術創作。洪麗芬以她的創造力與對美學的堅持，為無數場演出帶來嶄新的視覺震撼。

1990年投身於「湘雲紗」的研究及開發，將中國華東的古老絲織元素做新的時尚詮釋，賦予舊傳統新生命;以東方素材與色彩為基礎，用西方藝術之雕塑精神來呈現服裝的質感、色彩與造型，為極富文化內涵兼具現代時尚的設計藝術家，於1998年出版湘雲紗系列(SOPHIE HONG。 VOLUME 1)。

洪麗芬作品兩度獲得法國巴黎服裝博物館(Palais Galliera - Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris)永久典藏。
2010年在法國皇家花園 Le Palais Royal 成立Sophie HONG P

aris，2010年接任法國信鴿書店負責人，致力中法文化閱讀交流推廣，2012年獲頒法國國家功勳騎士勳章。
