The famous John Moulton homestead

In the fall of 1908 John Moulton and his brother Thomas Alma (T.A.) settled on the homestead in the now famous Mormon Row and started to clear the land for what would become a dairy business to supply the local dude ranches with fresh milk and eggs. With the help of his wife Bartha they lived a simple life of hard work here for years to come.
The famous barn was constructed in the early 1930’s and used through the term of his 1953 sale of the homestead to Grand Teton National Park which allowed for his occupying and use of the land until his death. Living a long life, the farm wasn’t relinquished to park control until his passing at the age of 103 in 1990.
