I began sewing growing up on my family farm in SD. Later, I majored in Clothing and Textiles, and tailored at The Main in Aberdeen. Changing gears, I moved to Miller as an X-ray tech. I met and married my husband Dave, and began bookkeeping for his Auto Body business. As life evolved with all the above, sewing had gotten set aside.
.....But the bug has bitten again. Last summer Dave closed his b
usiness and we relocated to Aberdeen. I retired from x-ray and now work full time. Sewing is a skill hard to find, so after hours I would love to help meet those needs for your family and home! Are jeans too big in certain places? Pants, skirts, or even curtains, too long? I shorten them. Find a rummage or clearance item with a flaw? It might be fixable. I mend blowouts (some jean rips are NOT fashionable), and replace zippers. I alter certain women's formalwear, but I might leave extensive jobs for the dress stores. Every body type and fabric item is different. Sometimes things just plain cannot be fixed, or it's more expensive than what it's worth. I give estimates to help you decide what's feasible.
