Hey guys!
If you’re new here I thought I’d reintroduce and give a little bit about how I got into fashion! I’ve always loved fashion since I was little. Playing dress up with my cousins. And a huge Inspo was my grandma has always inspired and pushed me creatively! She is like Martha Stewart’s cousin (not really) just owned every magazine and did every Maratha craft under the sun! I loved making those crafts with her! She bought me my first sewing machine! And taught me how to sew a dress for Valentine’s Day for my birthday in the 8th grade. When my grandpa was going through chemo I tagged along often and while we waited in the waiting area for him it kinda became our thing she taught me how to sketch fashion drawings as we waited. And those little hours with them sparked a fire in me. I fell completely in love with arts and crafts, fashion, sewing and design. If anyone knows gram you know she is a firecracker. Well I’m not kidding you she is! I thought it would be fun for us to take a sewing class at Joan’s together. A Friday night fun activity. Well she got us kicked out in the first 15 minutes. I wish I was joking 🤣🫣 she kept critiquing the teacher… and the lady said well do you wanna come teach this class? She said sure I wouldn’t miss some steps🥴
So anyways she taught me pattern making, design and concept. And fast forward decades later I’m still doing what I love from the seed she sewn into me young on design. I’m so thankful and grateful for these moments with my grandparents and all the laughter 😆 and the no dream is too big attitude from my grandpa. He was a dreamer and a giver! So blessed to have the time with him! I took these homemade skills and worked a few fashion internships that took me into designing and creating a line Hippie Kids with my sister. I have 3 kids now and still pursuing this wild dream! Hippie Kids has been around for more then 14 years. Popping up shop for 12 and in Acworth for 5 (6.5 bc building out 😩🥴). This dream is near to my heart. My kids are my why and my reason to push through all the hard stuff to continue this dream. Thank you guys for supporting my dream, our shop and our little b
