If you follow MY page, understand that I share my work to connect with you all and share my creativity. What you will not find here is a space for bullies or hateful comments. People have gotten far too comfortable hiding behind a screen and saying things they would never have the courage to say to someone face-to-face. If you feel comfortable doing so maybe it’s time to log off, touch grass, breathe fresh air and remember there’s a real person on the other side of your nasty comment. I will not tolerate disrespect ESPECIALLY on posts meant to celebrate and uplift our indigenous women. If you choose to spread negativity here, you’ll be removed from my page. I will not give hate a platform.

This is not me encouraging hate to this individual but establishing my boundaries that WILL BE respected if you plan to stick around on my page.

Another MCN Festival Fashion Show down! Take a break from the doom scrolling and head to my page to check out each model’s individual post to get to know these incredible women and why they were chosen to represent my creations. I received so many amazing applications, but my heart was drawn to these strong Indigenous women. I chose each of them because of the way they represent not only themselves and their communities, but Indigenous people as a whole. Some are helping keep our languages alive. Some are powerful advocates for our people. All of them are connected to the Mvskoke and Seminole Nations. They each embody the strength, resilience, beauty, and culture that I wanted reflected alongside my designs. My hope was that when you see my creations, you also see the incredible Indigenous women wearing them and are reminded that our people have always been strong, resilient, and are still here.

“Estonko, Marissa Deere-Alberson cvhocefka tos! I am a proud Mvskoke (Creek) and Seminole woman. I am the artist behind Deere Woman Design. I was born and raised in Ada, OK, where I grew up deeply rooted in both Indian churches and ceremonial grounds. I was taught to respect and honor both ways of life, and that foundation is reflected in my creations. My work is designed to be worn across all aspects of life such as, the grounds, in church, at work, or in everyday settings. I strive to keep my creations as close to traditional ways as possible while still making them accessible and wearable in modern life. Through my designs and participation in fashion shows, I always aim to showcase our traditional ways of life and remind others that our people are still here.”

“Chehentamo! I’m Cheyenne Kippenberger and a proud citizen of the Seminole tribe of FL! I’m currently completing my Environmental Policy and Management degree and serve my tribe’s environmental dept by conducting govt to govt consultation with external state and federal agencies. I lead my own consulting firm, C.K. Tribal Consulting, where I specialize in diplomacy, environmental stewardship and policy through an Indigenous lens, and enhancing Native cultural and historical competency across professional sectors. I was born and raised on the Hollywood reservation in Florida and love where I come from 🫶🏽”

I currently serve as an Associate Program Officer at the Better Way Foundation, where I help fund Indigenous early education programs focused on language revitalization and culture. My other passions include serving as an Oklahoma and national advocate for children impacted by parental incarceration, being a member of the Tulsa Young Democrats, and pursuing my creative side as an aspiring makeup artist. ✨”

“Hesci! My name is Kulvne Begay, and I am a proud member of the Muscogee (Creek), Navajo, and Chickasaw Nations. I currently serve as the 2026–2027 Wilco Powwow Princess while pursuing degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University. I also serve on the Mvskoke Nation Youth Council, where I am committed to supporting and empowering Native communities.”

“Tonko! Flo Proctor towi. I am a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, beadwork/ sewing artist, and a 2nd Language Learner of the Mvskoke Language.
I began my journey with language in 2024 while working as an Admin Assistant for the SNO Language Program. Since then I have helped in language revitalization efforts there, as well as a Beginning-Language-Instructor for the Mvskoke Nation. I am currently pursuing a degree in Business and continue to create beadwork pieces! I have been beading since 2018, but picked up sewing and photography earlier this year. You can follow my work 100co. Mvto!”

“Hesci! I am Ayani Tebe and I am Diné, Tsenjikini (Cliff Dwelling People) born for the eco (Deer) clan, from the Eufaula Band and citizen of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and Mvskoke descent. I recently graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology minoring in Native American Studies. I am currently a Tribal Youth Coordinator for the Youth and Family Resource Center in Potawatomi County and am also leading a Young Women’s Circle within my tribal community as a pilot project called Vhocetv. I have a passion for creating spaces that promote wellness, connection, and healthy strategies, with an emphasis on uplifting Indigenous youth and strengthening community

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to walk for the amazing Sheena Logan in the MCN Art Market fashion show. I was deeply honored to be asked to walk first and represent the older, traditional style of the beautiful and strong Seminole women. As a proud descendant of the Mvskoke and Semvnole people, moments like this carry so much meaning for me. Whenever I wear my regalia, I feel a deep sense of peace within myself, and this experience was no different. To be able to showcase my cousin’s creations while also sharing even a small glimpse of the strength, beauty, and tradition of Seminole women was incredibly special. It was more than just walking a runway, it was a moment of pride and cultural connection.
