This reel is more than a collection of photos and memories.

It tells the story of where it all began — empty spaces, long days, late nights, paint-covered hands, exhausted smiles, and the incredible people who showed up to help turn a vision into reality. From restoring my very first store, to celebrating our Grand Opening, to our Christmas event, and eventually growing into three Painted Tree locations, every picture represents a chapter of a much bigger story.

July 13th marked my brother Corey’s 5th anniversary which in itself seems so surreal.

Losing him is what started all of this.

7 Semicolon Couture was never meant to be just a boutique. It was created in his memory and in honor of everyone who has struggled silently, lost someone they love, or wondered if anyone would understand their pain. My hope was to create something that would start conversations, encourage others to share their stories, and help break the stigma surrounding mental health and su***de.

The semicolon represents a sentence the author could have ended, but chose not to.

That message became my mission.

This journey also carries the memory of my friend Mike, who was incredibly proud of what I was building. He spent an entire afternoon helping me with the final painting before opening my first store, excited about the dream and looking forward to celebrating at the Grand Opening.

Just a few months later, we lost Mike to su***de.

One of the hardest parts was knowing he never got to stand there with us on opening day and celebrate something he had helped make possible.

Every before and after photo in this video represents more than building stores or growing a business.

It represents purpose born from pain.
Hope born from heartbreak.
And the belief that even our hardest chapters can become part of someone else’s healing story.

To everyone who painted walls, moved fixtures, unpacked boxes, attended events, shopped with us, shared our mission, prayed for us, and believed in this dream — thank you. You helped build more than a business.

You helped build a legacy.

And if there is one thing I hope people take away from this journey, it is this:

Your story is not over yet. ;

Follow our journey. Share our story. Share yours. Because every conversation matters, and every story deserves another chapter. ;

Today marks another year since losing my baby brother, Corey, to su***de.

Every anniversary is hard, but this year feels different somehow. Not easier. Not harder. Just different in a way I can't quite explain.

Grief doesn't follow rules or timelines, especially after su***de loss. Some years feel heavier than others, and sometimes the emotions show up in ways we never expect.

Today I shared some of those thoughts, emotions, and reflections in my latest blog post, "Some Anniversaries Feel Different."

I wrote it for Corey.

I wrote it for those who have lost someone they love.

I wrote it for those carrying grief quietly.

And I wrote it for anyone who needs the reminder that they are not alone.

If this resonates with you, I hope you'll take a few minutes to read it. And if you're comfortable, I would love for you to share it. You never know who may need these words today.

Thank you for continuing to help me honor Corey's legacy and support our mission to end the stigma surrounding mental health and su***de.

💚 Your story is not over.
💚 Keep talking.
💚 Keep reaching out.
💚 Keep going.
