Q: What IS the Save n Swap of Lenawee?
A: A free clothing store for all people of all ages that runs on donations only. There are no requirements to shop, the only rule is you can't resell items from here.
Q: What are your hours?
A: There are no set hours. It is best to send a text to Theresa at 517-442-4182 🤳 or message the Save n Swap page to set up an appointment for shopping or donations. NEVER show up unannounced! Sometimes, I will post open shopping days where there are no appointments needed. Just watch the page for those posts to be made!
Q: How do I make an appointment?

Q: Do I have to donate in order to shop?
A: No! Everything is free. You CAN donate, but it is not required ever.
Q: Do you ever need volunteers?
A: Yes! Every single day, there is something that could be done! I cannot reach out individually every day begging for help. If you're able to volunteer, YOU reach out to ME and I'll let you know what needs done when you are able to come!
Q: Where are you located?
A: This free store is located in it's own building at my home, on private property. The address is 4502 Bailey hwy. Adrian, MI.

Q: How much does everything cost?
A: Everything is free! It is all donated for free and we keep that circle going! The only rule here is that you cannot sell items you received here. You will be banned forever for that. "Not for profit" applies to everyone! 🥰
Q: Can I sell items that I get from there?
A: NO! The policy of the Save n Swap of Lenawee is that you cannot sell items you received here. You will be banned forever for that. 👊 I know it can be tempting when nice things get donated. But, if you don't need it, don't take it. Simple as that. 🤷♀️ Resist the temptation to try to profit off the kindness of my donors. Please and thank you! Everything is donated here for free and I ask that it stays that way the rest of it's life, as a free donation. If an item still has life left when you're done with it, donate it back or pass it along to someone else for free.
Q: Do you have... (insert specific gender or size or style of clothes)?
A: Yes. There is at least a little bit of every single size, all of the time. Inventory is constantly changing as donations come in and as shoppers take things out. For that reason, I do not bother looking for specific items for people, you will just have to make an appointment to come look for yourself. Furthermore, I do not do holds. So even if I were to look at the time of your asking, it could be gone by the time you make it in to actually shop. I no longer waste my time or yours with those requests.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: No. Neither delivery nor personal shopping is a service I offer. You must come look for yourself or find someone to come for you.
Q: Do you pick up donations?
A: Not typically. I can try to make arrangements to meet up if I'm already going to be out and about, and if I have room. But that's not something I can commit to doing often.
Q: Will you hold an item for me?
A: No holds on any items unless you are literally on your way and have given me an eta. If you then don't show within a reasonable time, it's up for grabs to anyone else.
Q: Do you accept household items?
A: I don't typically have room for household items. If you have large items or baby/children items, I can make a post for you. I'm also willing to be a drop off/pick up spot for the exchange, but I don't have room for storage of those items.
Q: What DO you accept as donations?
A: Items we need donated:
CLEAN and **NO bugs** No rips or stains.
~Clothes - all sizes, genders and styles
~Shoes - all sizes, genders and styles
~Diapers for children and adults
~Baby wipes
~Belts and bags
~Plastic tubs for sorting and storing clothes
~Blankets
~Plastic storage with drawers
~Towels
~Any cash donations will go to help pay for the building and daily operations of Save n swap.

Q: Is there a restroom available?
A: No. I believe the closest public restroom is at Speedway. Plan accordingly.
Q: Is it heated/air conditioned?
A: No. It is not climate controlled or insulated. Unless that gets donated, it is not in the future plans. Dress accordingly :)
