Velvet Vintage Boutique is ALL about good vibes. We strive for a positive environment, open to everyone to enjoy. Posts like these are not typically made but we have been receiving a lot of questions from our customers that we’d like to answer.
We have unfortunately JUST been notified that the owners of our building- Copley improvement Corporation/Copley Township has decided to not renew our lease and plan to demolish our building, along with our neighboring buildings, to build a brand new plaza.
When we moved to the circle 3 years ago, we were drawn to the quant and charming character on the circle, admiring the community love and Copley Township’s tagline of “preserving history” and “assisting small businesses.” The building history was appreciated and we wanted to help preserve the historic home built in 1882- One of Copleys oldest buildings on the circle. As well as wanting to support the community we lived in.
We are saddened by the short notice of these plans and have even offered to purchase the building ourselves, to preserve and restore the building (which was denied) We want to assure everyone that we are NOT closing and we will be Relocating to a new building! We have appreciated all of the love and support right here on Copley circle. We appreciate your kind words and loyalty to our small business- we truly have built a family of clientele. During this time, we are searching for a new building and plan to update everyone on where the new location officially will be. We hope that all of our customers will follow us to our New Location, as we would truly miss every single face that walks through our door.
