I want to take a minute to brag on this girl right here. ❤️
Long before I ever started CrysTees, I was her customer. She made our sister trip shirts for several years, and I never dreamed I’d eventually be doing the same thing.
When I made mine and Emma’s Christmas shirts and people started wanting to order, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. So I reached out to her.
And instead of looking at me as future competition, she helped me.
We had long conversations. She sent me links, told me what equipment I needed, what I didn’t need, what was worth spending money on and what wasn’t. She shared knowledge that took her time, money, and experience to learn.
She didn’t owe me any of that.
And I’ve never forgotten it.
I’ve always believed there’s room for all of us at the table. I don’t keep up with what other local businesses are doing because I don’t want to get caught up in comparing my journey to somebody else’s. I just want to do my thing, do it well, and help somebody else along the way when I can.
There will ALWAYS be someone better than you, someone with more experience, better equipment, or a bigger platform. But none of that means you can’t reach back and help the person who’s just getting started.
That’s the kind of business owner I want to be. Not because there’s something in it for me, but because somebody once did that for me.
Sometimes people have no idea how much of an impact they’ve made just by being willing to share a little of their time.
She could’ve seen me as competition. Instead, she saw somebody who needed help.
And four years later, that still means the world to me. ❤️

Happy 4 year anniversary to CrysTees!!

🩵 FOUR YEARS OF CRYSTEES! 🩵

Four years ago, I made Emma and myself some Christmas shirts, posted a picture on my personal page, and somehow it just took off! 😂 I wasn’t trying to start a business. I was just making us a couple of shirts, and before I knew it, I was making them for everybody else too!

I never would have dreamed that something so simple would turn into what CrysTees is today, or that I’d be slinging shirts for a living and loving what I do every single day.

There have been learning curves, long nights, plenty of mistakes, and moments when I’ve had to figure things out as I went. But there have also been friendships made, memories created, and opportunities I never saw coming.

One of my favorite parts has been the people I’ve met along the way. The customers who have become friends, the familiar names that keep coming back, and the people who trust me to create something for their special moments.

Through every season, the Lord has been faithful. He’s opened doors I never expected and reminded me that His plans are always greater than mine.

Four years later, I’m still learning, still growing, and still excited to see where this little business goes.

Thank you for being part of these last four years. CrysTees wouldn’t be what it is today without you! 🩵🪷
