Concreteworks is a design and fabrication studio specializing in innovative solutions using cast concrete and other cement-based materials. Our pieces combine the newest technologies in our field with cutting-edge design and sustainable building materials. We strive to meet the needs of our clients by producing work that reflects our accrued knowledge and our attention to aesthetics. We recognize

the needs of our community and our environment by handcrafting our projects locally. By constantly exploring the boundaries of concrete and keeping in tune with the desires of contemporary design, we are able to grow in capacity and aid in the evolution of the material from which our company takes its name.

Displayed throughout the Robert Mondavi Winery, are our signature Forum side tables designed in 2021 with Phase Design for our product atelier, Manos Made.

Developed in collaboration with Aidlin Darling Design and Boyd Lighting for Robert Mondavi Winery, the Vino Lights are a series of custom concrete pendant fixtures inspired by the silhouette of a wine bottle and the rugged vernacular of California wine country.

A custom gradient concrete texture was developed for the collection, ensuring each pendant carries its own unique character while celebrating the natural variation inherent to the material.

Delivered within an accelerated timeline and a tightly managed budget, the project centered on rapid material exploration. New castings were produced, evaluated, and refined each day until the gradient achieved the desired balance of texture and depth. The result was a production run of 20 handcrafted concrete pendants, each carrying subtle variations that reflect the process behind its making.

Developed in collaboration with , this large-scale concrete sculpture was created for the Robert Mondavi Winery garden as a landscape installation. Inspired by the surrounding valley and mountain topography, the sculptural form reflects the natural contours of the site, creating a distinctive focal point within the landscape.

To realize the scale and complexity of the design, we developed a detailed 3D model and fabricated the sculpture as a two-part concrete assembly. Using our in-house 5-axis CNC mill, we produced precision molds that allowed the complex geometry to be translated accurately.

Pacific Arts
