✍️Prep for the 2026 SHA Tour is already underway, so it’s time to start thinking about what to make! I finally tested out the little toy throwing wheel I picked up at with some air-dry clay — not bad for my first try on such a tiny wheel! 🛞

What have I been doing, besides cleaning up my studio post-tour? Throwing clay! I threw and hand-painted a sunset image onto this mug. Yeah, it’s pretty cool.

Hi! I tried ice dyeing silk scarves this week.

I’ve worked with fiber reactive dye before, but never in this way and had no idea what I would get! I soaked the silk scarves in soda ash (for only a minute) and then went to work with the powdered dyes. I used dyes from because I love their products.

As some of you may know, I’m part of , and we’ve got art up in the Sandia Heights Homeowners Office! I have three pieces in there. I’ve very carefully added an incredibly wobbly arrow to this photo so you can (maybe?) find my work. The office is in the same shopping center as Mesh Hair Studio.
