Call for donation of plain pumpkin and peanut butter, please and thank you!

We take kibble, mix it up with some pumpkin and peanut butter, stuff it in a KONG, pop it in the freezer, and tah-dah, we have a lovely cold dog treat for our pups to work on in this summer heat. We ask for plain canned pumpkin (no pumpkin pie mix) and peanut butter (no added xylitol) which you can drop off at either Eastside or Westside shelters.
Our pups send a big smooch of thanks!

Early this morning,I met a customer at the McDonald's by the mall and while I was waiting at the light to turn, I was talking with a homeless lady. She was telling me my truck was cool and then she started talking about faith and God. I politely listened as she talked about how God created us to love each other and created us from love and will still love us no matter how many mistakes we make. We are always loved. She also didn't ask for anything. The light changed and we said goodbye. I was just cruising down Menaul again, on my way somewhere else, and I saw her again.. Her face lit up and she was waving. Then she ran over and brought me this Coke. I thanked her and the light changed again. I circled back around the mall and came back to look for her and found her in a nearby alley. I gave her something to help her for the day, and I again thanked her for her encouraging words, the cold drink and her generosity. She noticed I had changed my clothes and again gave me a compliment. What a kind, sweet soul. Of course, we all have different beliefs and opinions about everything, including, faith, God and homelessness. But I think we can all agree that we are here to look out for each other and build each other up when we are granted the opportunity. May Molly's thoughtful and genuine words resonate with you today, and I hope you remember that you are loved and have a purpose 💕✨💝 Wishing all of you a good week ahead 💞

Today I got a peek at this hidden MCM gem - the National Guard Armory located at 600 Wyoming Blvd NE ✨ It was where the Rumble on the Rio had their tournaments today, and it was so much fun to see a cool event AND a fabulous mid century modern building that is still in use!

Construction of the armory dates back to the '50s, which lines up with a major post-war boom in ABQ's SE Heights and the well-known Hoffmantown neighborhood - which was strategically built to accommodate the influx of scientists and engineers who were moving to Albuquerque at that time for work at Sandia National Labs and Kirtland Air Force Base.

The building has served as a renowned taining and deployment center. And over its many years in service, it has been home to the New Mexico Army National Guard local recruitment offices and reserve branches, such as the USMC.

Today, it remains an active state and federal military site, with its main function serving as the local Army National Guard Recruitment and Readiness Center. ✨ And, look at this entryway! Swoon! 💫

I'm still using the shop as my temporary storage 😩 but making {some} progress. And I rediscovered this beauty while I was organizing the connex box earlier ✨ MCM Hollywood Regency brass & beveled glass coffee table with hoof feet ✨ Made by LaBarge (Michigan, USA) but most likely hand-crafted in Italy, as LaBarge was known to partner with skilled European artisans & designers during 60s, 70s & 80s ✨ 275.00
There is one tiny chip on the corner of the glass that isn't noticeable.
