We still have a ways to go before buying the building can become a reality. There are expenses we have to cover upfront and several steps we still have to get through before we can really get the ball rolling.
Every raffle ticket — and every donation to our GoFundMe — gets us a little closer to making our current Aledo location a permanent home for Odd Bettie’s. 🖤

📣ANTQUES DAY INFO📣

Tomorrow, Odd Bettie’s will be CLOSED from 1–2 PM during the Dangerous Dames Pin-Up Pageant.
And there’s a very important reason…
For the FIRST TIME, Mom Lee is actually going to get to sit down and WATCH the contest instead of working the shop! ❤️
And honestly, if you were planning on shopping with us during that hour — GO ACROSS THE STREET AND WATCH THE SHOW! 😂👏

There has been SO MUCH happening behind the scenes to make this pageant special. So many fellow pinups have stepped up to help, Mom Lee has been trucking along like an absolute machine, and the amount of unpaid slave labor happening at Odd Bettie’s this week is probably questionable. 😂
I’m also pretty sure I may have killed Kristyn. RIP girl. Thank you for your service. 🤣
But seriously — a LOT of love, time, work and people have gone into making this show happen.
And that includes our CONTESTANTS. ❤️
These ladies have spent time planning their looks, getting ready, traveling from near and far, and coming all the way to Aledo to get on that stage and be part of our little hometown tradition.
So PLEASE come show them what Aledo does best.

A few days ago, you probably wouldn’t have even RECOGNIZED Odd Bettie’s. 😂 We have been digging, hauling, cleaning, pricing and pulling out some absolute BANGERS from the depths of this building
And somehow… WE’RE GETTING THERE. 🙌

Odd Bettie’s will be OPEN 9–4, with one very important little intermission…

Went down the other day to Monmouth to help our girl Kristyn at MC-Binz… and OBVIOUSLY I couldn’t leave empty-handed. 😂

Look at this haul!! That chair?! The parasol?! 😍

Seriously, you guys need to go check them out. You never know what weird little treasure is waiting for you. 👀

Helping a friend + accidental treasure hunting = a pretty successful trip. 😂

We have been NONSTOP tagging fresh vintage daily — minimum 2 loads of laundry a day, plus I’ve been digging into the back room and finally pulling out stuff that’s been hiding back there forever. 😂

We appreciate donations, we really do… but some things have officially lived their whole life. 😂

If your underwear has reached the point where one wrong move turns them into assless chaps… please let them retire peacefully. 🫡😂

And on that note… Odd Bettie’s is NOT accepting donations until AFTER September 3rd, once Antiques Day is over and we’ve recovered from that adventure.

Unless we’ve already discussed it beforehand — please hang onto your goodies until then!

And the underwear? You can go ahead and throw those away. 😂

Turns out buying cool stuff is WAY more fun than washing it. 😂

I’m finally making a dent in my “I’ll wash that later” pile… and some long-forgotten gems are FINALLY hitting the sales floor.

Apparently past me had excellent taste. Current me just has laundry. 🧺😂
