Before the brand, there was the land. Before the apparel, there were the cattle.
Our story starts in the late 1800s, when Tom Humphries made the journey from North Carolina to Texas, went to work as a ranch hand at the Halsell Ranch in Graford, and eventually built something of his own — including a brand called the Lazy J.
Four generations later, that same brand is still going. Same values. Same love for Hereford cattle and the western way of life. Just a different chapter.
