One of my favorite parts of the day isn't actually about cleaning.
It's when team members stop by the office just to chat.
They catch up on their weekends, ask about each other's families, laugh about something that happened on a job, or simply enjoy a few minutes together before heading back out.
Years ago, I worked in an environment where every quiet moment had to be filled.
If you had time to lean, you had time to clean.
The minute you finished one task, someone was asking, "Isn't there something you could be doing?"
I choose to see it differently at Sota Cleaning Co.
Of course, we work hard. We have goals to meet, homes to clean, and clients counting on us.
But I've also learned that not every minute has to be productive to be valuable.
Sometimes the conversations in the office are what build trust.
Sometimes the laughter is what gets someone through a hard week.
Sometimes those few minutes are what turn coworkers into teammates.
The strongest teams aren't just built by working together.
They're built by genuinely caring about one another.
Watching that happen has become one of my favorite parts of owning Sota Cleaning Co.
